I just wanted to make a point.
Anyway, if the trip to MSU does fall through, the top two big trips would be Minnesota and Boston College. It seems logical to go to one of those. Which do you all prefer? I think Minnesota would be the better trip, as it's a bigger venue, earlier in the season, and likely more visibility.

And you failed.

Great. These Big 11 schools typically have more home games, and fewer road games on the FOOTBALL schedule than we do, this does not at all make your point about how their bands go to more games/year than ours. What does this tell us? Anything?

As far as your research goes, I'll let you know that the University of Kansas band travels to just one game/year typically as a full band, but will often send a smaller contingency to road games at KState or Mizzou.

OK, thats all for "personal attacks." I try to stay away from these typically, but all this free time over spring break here is giving me time to actually read and react to this stuff.

well if we can't go to the MSU game then we have to go for a MAC game. I was already told we would not go to Boston College or Minnesota. So i choose Miami University.

Miami would be cool. We've got an on-and-off rivalry going on there, and they also have a pretty darn good band. If it's gotta be a MAC school, I'd say either Miami or Kent because they're both close, both in the MAC east, and the football team has some desire for revenge against both and could use some support from the band.

Miami is actually our original rival, before Toledo even. I still hate them both.

Miami is way worse than turdledo. At least the Rockettes don't act like a bunch of stick up azz chotch monkeys. If you talk to alumni from the mid 90's they will tell you they have know idea how we all hate slUT more than them. MUCK FIAMI.

Furthermore, the Redskinhawk band is a big ball of loud obnoxious suck, or at least they were at the rain/tornado bowl two years ago. I can't stand Marching bands with one dynamic. One more thing, cymbol flashes are fun, but for goodness' sake, please mix it up a little. My eyes start to hurt from the same repeated motion over and over and over again.

Oh yeah, I voted for MSU. East Lansing is a nice enough place. And that would by far be our best chance of publicity. Playing at Minnesota would do nothing to promote us since the game won't be televised much and the gophers haven't been terribly good of late.

But a Spartans game may be broadcast to an audience where possible band recruiting may be possible. Fruthermore, even though MSU hasn't been stellar lately, they still fill that stadium every game. Minnesooooooooota seems to have some trouble with that.

That's my girl.

Maybe you all are going to Kent.

Minor point about the MCB in 2003: the main reason you weren't well received is that you were PLAYING TOWARDS THE WRONG SIDE OF THE STADIUM!

One of my peeves about the current style of the FMB. There's an East side too!

Ohh wow... :?

We used to play once per show to the East. I always liked it. It was nice playing to All of our fans, and our unwelcome guests in the visitor stands. That's something I'd like to see come back, along with a couple of other things from halftime. Niz and I have hacked that to death though, so if you really want to know, ask.

I've been thinking about the EAST side thing, and it seems to me that with no one sitting over there lately, there isn't much reason to play that direction

With the SEBO seating, this discussion becomes moot - or mute if you're an idiot.
