Preston Burrell - Baller

Post by fredthefalcon »

For the curious, I saw BG football recruit play in the Michigan High School Class B semifinals today for East Grand Rapids. I don't think he'll be a candidate to follow Magner as a two sport star at BG. Actually, he looked somewhat soft and was outplayed by his opposite twin on a Flint area team. This guy was a couple inches shorter but had Burrell by 20-25 lbs. That said East Grand Rapids came from behind to win and Burrell contributed 4 points in the late going. Other than that he was the 5th option on this talented team. One more game in his balling career except for intramurals.

What did you think of the 6-9 EGR center who is going to Toledo?

Reminded me of a shorter Manute Bol. Very thin and could not handle the 300 pounder from Flint. He was, however, a shot blocker and an excellent free throw shooter.
