If tekininininini wants to continuosly demonstrate what a jerk he can be, I'm not going to stop him. MSU Coach Gets New Deal
By Geoff Kimmerly
Lansing State Journal
Michigan State women's basketball coach Joanne P. McCallie signed a new contract Saturday that includes a raise of nearly $100,000 per year.
MSU athletic director Ron Mason said the new deal was not in response to other schools trying to lure the coach away, but rather was part of her yearly postseason evaluation.
McCallie had been rumored as a candidate for the Florida and Louisiana State jobs in recent weeks.
Instead, McCallie will stay and see her base salary increase from $232,875 this past season to $325,000 for next. With other compensations - for example the money she receives for doing her radio show - McCallie's salary will be $500,000 per year.
Incentives, based on things such as success in the NCAA Tournament, can drive that figure up to $643,000. Those also increased with this deal.

I don't really want to have a drawn out discussion oin this...but deleting posts from people who aren't capable of being reasonable is a waste of time...they typically just ratchet up their posting level and that just creates more hassle and work.
Besides..I'm hesitant to pull a post that doesn't invovle obscenity, defamatory language, threats or is otherwise completely inappropriate.
The post in question was annoying, but it didn't seem otherwise objectionable by those standards.

Miller is not even on the radar at Penn State. I think he'll be stomping the court at AA next year, but if he were to leave, the most likely destination seems to be Louisville at this point. None of the other opening really make that much sense to me. Just because a job opens somewhere doesn't mean he's automatically a candidate. There are many other factors to consider.

is he going?
if BG wants to keep him they will have to try really hard and I think they should. he's an amazing coach, and i would love to have him stay. but as mentioned other (bigger) schools will be able to pay him more, so we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope!!

Actually it makes the most sense for Curt to leave this year. His stock will probably never be higher. He would be missing a serious career opportunity if he doesn't. Look at Bob Lindsey at Kent and Mark Ehlen at Toledo. They were the "mid-major coach of the moment" a few years back and they decided to stay put or...didn't get any offers.
I think Curt has a serious decision to make...leave BG for a "big time" program where he will be paid handsomely but with big time pressure, or stay at BG and coach another 25 years and raise his family in Northeast Ohio. There are no guarantees with either scenario.

One guarantee is that if he stays in BG, he won't be living in Northeast Ohio.
