Coach Stan Heath!

Post by astacey34 »

I was just have been reading some things people have been saying about Coach Heath. Just a few comments, cause I don´t think he is coming to BG, I actually know he is not! But for people to say he is not a good choice or a good choice, just baffles me. I read that he won with other people´s players and didn´t do nothing at Arkansas with his own players. Well got news for you, went from 9, 12, 18, 22, 21 wins at Arkansas and two consecutive NCAA tournaments is not bad, for a program that was in turmoil with the Nolan Richardson situation, and also that plays in the SEC! And he had a great year at Kent, he had to be doing something right. The made it to the final 8. That takes coaching, yest it takes good players but it take coaching also. Yes Gary Waters left him talent but it is easy to mess talent up, when I was in school Marshall had the most talent in the league hands down but didn´t win. Me and Esterkamp were left over from Coach Larranaga, does that mean our championship withCoach Dakich doesn´t count cause we were somebody´s recruits?

Yes, that's what it means. I have decided to award that year's championship to UT instead. :)

Thanks for the inside info. Have you spoken with Dakich since he has moved on? How is he doing and any speculation about where he will be doing it. I hope things are going well for you over there.

look @ Big STACE on the AZZ. Good to see you on the board Anthony! Stay away from the "TEQUILA" if you know what I mean. :o

you are right about Heath though - coaching is an interesting business to say the least. We just want you back in the Orange and Brown to lead us to an NCAA Berth!
