Were they actually *IN* today's S-T? And how did that work?

Or perhaps he talked to him FOR today's S-T?

Here's what I liked....

Curt Miller wrote:“To listen to an attractive offer, first and foremost, my family would be involved in the decision,” Miller said. “Second, this is an elite program and we can do some elite things at the mid-major level. But as a competitive person, if there is a next step up, it would be a place where you think you could win a national championship.”

Miller’s parents live close enough to attend many of his games. He’s also helping to raise two elementary-school age boys.

“It would have to be something that would be special for my family,” Miller said. “Bowling Green has been great for my family. I love the Conneaut school district for Brian and Shawn. We live on a cul-de-sac with four other families who have kids their age. I grew up in a community smaller than this, but very similar.”
He wants to win.

Can he win at Cincinnati? If he thinks he can, then he will go. If he thinks he can't, then he'll stay.

This is an elite program and he knows it because he is the orchestra conductor.

He will do what is right for him and his family. That may be somewhere else, and it may just be right here in good ole BG.

Curt, I support you no matter what you decide to do.

This is probably a dumb question, but is Miller married? I've never heard mention of a wife.

To me, it was interesting to note that while there is no buyout in actual dollars for him going to certain schools, but he would be required to set up a home and home series with BG. A like that idea.

is he divorced, that could have an impact on where he goes, for being able to see kids? Or are you implying something else, by not being married.... You know, living a European lifestyle of un-married bliss.

Not sure what that means exactly, but it doesn't sound to me like they are his kids, adopted or otherwise. :?

Regardless of "what it means", coach obviously cares enough about those boys to refer to them as "family" in any number of quotes.

And I think if he REALLY wants them to do well, he'll keep them in Bowling Green.

And nothing else matterssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss...... (that was my Metallica impression)

Yeah, I don't think this discussion has any place on this website. The family life of any of our coaches, administrators, players, etc. is really no one's business but their own and they can share as much or as little as they'd like.

Unless you coach the women's team at LSU....

I think that's totally different. She (Pokey) crossed the line of family/personal life and team/coach life with her conduct, from what I understand. There are clear lines of delineation there.

Yet another reason why the bigger job isn't always the "better" one.
