Yeah, but Charles Sharon once allegedly robbed a pizza guy, so it doesn't count.
If true, those are some pretty heavy allegations. Probably not enough to bring the program down, but definitely enough for some heavy digging, especially if Scooter is openly admitting to taking a car, etc. from the guy.

I just forwarded that to all my Rocket-loving co-workers and I think they're just stunned... yikes... that is NOT good.... and it's not just football....
A criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Detroit said the player, Harvey “Scooter” McDougle Jr., 22, a senior, recruited football and basketball players to participate in the scheme...

If basketball players were point shaving, too, I'm surprised their game with FSU didn't end up 2-0.

Did McDougle PLAY?
Weird thing about this story, if I recall correctly, is that McDougle was seriously injured in the MAC championship game (2yrs. ago-I think)...I don't recall him playing last year, but I don't follow Toledo FB unless they're playing us... If this is true, it probably gave him plenty of time to "set up" the deal with the gambler, certainly not as an active player though.

Wow. That totally sucks. Not just for Toledo, but for the MAC and the NCAA as well. I wouldn't relish in this too much, folks.

I'm a little hesitant about the "investigating if other schools may have been involved", but for now, it's Toledo, and I will laugh.
There. I laughed.
