End of season banquet
End of season banquet
Last night's banquet was great! Thanks to Coach Cole, Coach Schueller (sp?) Marta, and everybody else who put it together, you did an outstanding job! Congrats to the seniors, James Unger, Jeremy Bronson, and Patrick David. For those of you who don't know Patrick, he is the son of former BG goalie Mike David, and was the main person in charge of video for the team. They even gave PD his own sweater, which I thought was very thoughtful. Unfortunately, Jeremy couldn't be there because the Storm were playing last night, but he got to give his speech via video tape. I think James was getting a little choked up during his, but he did a wonderful job. James reminded his teammates to savor every moment of their college careers and experiences, because before you know it, they're gone (isn't that the truth). All in all, it was a wonderful evening, great memories and thoughts of good things to come for the program. Kudo's to everyone who put it together, and of course, Andy did his usual stellar job as the master of ceremonies. I really think that Jordan lent Tomas Petruska the shirt from his banquet. Wow, bright, bright green! And a tie to match!

But....but.........but..........uhhh........is anyone else sweating in here? Ummm..... FIRE POOCH!
Glad to hear that the night went so well. This year's senior class was small, but they were a great group of guys, and we were lucky to have them here at BGSU! Nothing but the best to them in the future!

DC won a BGSU banquet award? I knew DC was good, but to win a BGSU award at MSU is impressive.

Umm...the coaches award was won by Jeremy Bronson, not Patrick David.
I saw Jeremy play today with the Toledo Storm. He looked to be having fun and played in numerous different situations that he was not placed in during his time at BG. He is back in his "old" position of playing defense. He's won more games in his 3 weeks with the Storm than he won all year in BG. That's a very sad statistic!

Bill- I take it Mrs. Bill didn't agree?
BTW- I wish the team would bring back the award that DC won. The "Most outstanding opponent." That would make for an interesting discussion. Who do you all think would have gotten it this year? I'd definitely would have to give it some thought. Based on the most fun crowd brought to BG, I'd have to go with ND's Wes O'Neill. His dad and friends were a blast to listen to the game with. I imagine, Section E wouldn't agree with me though. And I guess that wouldn't really be a good call, I'm not an O'Neill Fan, but his family/friends are a riot!

Congrats to Unger and Bronson. It was a disappointing season, of course, but now it's time to just re-build and get ready for next Fall.

Gees, give it a break will you? Just because your class wasn't allowed to give speeches!! Maybe this year's Seniors deserved it more than your class did. I understand your frustration and we have all heard it all season. Why can't you just let this year's Seniors and the fans, families and friends at least enjoy one night out of the year?bigdog wrote:They were allowed to give speeches this year, ahhh..... cute. The only thing even cuter is that he brought a Jonathon Sigalet bobblehead on stage. ahhhhh cute!!! I have never seen a coach suck up to a family as he does. Its embarrassing.
if you read my response clearly I in no way made any remark about the seniors, Brony and Unger are good friends of mine. I mean anyone who is willing to withstand 4 years of Paluch should get the highest recognition. They are extra special becuae out of a starting class of 10 they were the only 2 that stuck it out. That is the biggest accomplishment!
