Good night OSU.

Talk about the Buckeyes the Wolverines the Hilltoppers the Ducks the Beavers the Chanticleers... or anyone else who isn't BG or an opponent in this forum.

Good night OSU.

Post by NWLB »

An Ohio State University will have a complex when anybody mentions the state of Florida now. Not a bad game to watch, but much like the Florida/UCLA game, the gators just got ahead and remained there. Never really seemed to be any real threat to them.

Florida was just too good this year. There only weakness all season was being bored.

The Buckeyes had quite a team this year. Good enough to win it in many years.

was a good game two good teams and OSU showed a lot of heart and no quit. They were down 12 and 13 several times got it down to 6 near the end but I think they were too tired by that time.

Florida did a good job wearing us down. Most won't have a complex. Florida can have their time. OSU has had their time both will have their time again, many times.

As I said before, life moves on. I was glad to get the chance to get Florida back and they proved to be the best. I was real happy to see Noah be damn near worthless in the game. He made very little significant contribution.

We dont want anything from you. We don't need it. As I just said Florida is the school right now, they have their time. OSU will get theirs. Conley already gave a 100% he is back next year. It will be interesting to see what ODEN does. I am hearing, lately, that if Durant declares, ODEN is coming back (atleast the chances increase a bit). We will see.

Conley is a damn good basketball player. He is fun to watch on defense. Well offense too I guess.

I wonder if Donovan will go to Kentucky.

Oden better come back, and find a treadmill too. He was absolutely dragging at the end of that game.

The better team won tonight in pretty decisive fashion.

I haven't been really impressed by Oden's game all season until these last two games. The kid will be a beast offensively with a solid big man coach in the Association. Defensively, a couple of his blocks tonight made me cringe.

The difference was obviously the three point shooting. Butler has been abused down here for a large chunk of the season and he will certainly bear the brunt of any anger tomorrow.

I thought Conley could have done a little more to help the Bucks out tonight. It just seemed like OSU's plan was to get it to Oden as much as possible and Conley was neutralized because he was dumping it into Oden instead of taking it to the rack. The foul trouble certainly didn't help.

Florida has now won two in a row and could possibly (remote chance) bring back the core of players next year. I'm sure all of them will be high draft picks, but I don't see Noah, Horford, or Green being stars at the next level. Brewer, OTOH, will be a stud.

Sad to see college basketball end as always. Every single year during "One Shining Moment", I realize the season is over and look forward to next year hoping that BG will finally make it to the dance.

what do you expect? he got used to only playing 18-24 minutes a game with a lot of bench time in between appearances.

You can try to rub it in all that you want. I do not think you will see too many upset people.

besides, you do not have much to talk about until you can atleast get to the dance.

Shaquille O'Neal averaged 40 minutes/game during his first 2 years in the NBA (when he was 21 and 22). If Oden wants to compete at the highest level he's got to pick his ass up and get in better shape.

Tek is right. As a Buckeye hater, tonight was a no-win situation. If the Buckeyes would have won, everybody and their brother would have been out buying national championship shirts and hats tonight. With the loss, a large portion will say "meh.....it's just basketball. We don't really care anyway." Still glad they lost, though.

It's not because they do not care, It is going to be because people were not so sure of the outcome as they seemed to be for the football game. Nobody gave Florida a chance in football (fans or media, including many of you) but this was different. Many had hopes but no one was over confident of the outcome.

they probably care less about bball and that may have a little to do with it, but most of it is that it was not a sure thing.

Good, I hope he does the smart thing and comes back one more year. This team will be deadly with Oden and Conley back plus costas coupas(not sure how his name is spelled) and Diebler comming in and the reest of the returnees that would come back. They will be much deeper and bigger, which is what hurt us tonight. We were outsized and worn out, we didnt have the deep bench to work from.
