Who else was interviewed for the job?

Post by Globetrotter »

I beleive somewhere it was stated that a handful of people were talked to even though Orr was the favorite for awhile. Any ideas who else interviewed?

I'm pretty sure Curt Miller was.

BG asked permission from my boss to interview me.

He declined citing my job performance was key in making his job performance look better in comparison. Selfish b@stard is he.

Does anyone know how long Lou's contract is for? and how much he will be making? itll be interesting to see if his new salary will have anything to do with Curt Miller possibly getting a new deal here.

Orr is making 180,000/year I think. I'd guess it's probably a 4 year deal.

Miller and Orr seem to have a limited but already existing relationship. If we could find a way ($) to keep them both here it could mean alot for Falcon Basketball. Imagine BG in the girls tournament every year, while the guys return to a solid team.....Imagine Orr's painted chest on the sideline of a women's game while Miller dresses up like a Falcon Cheerleader for the guys....

According to Maureen and the Blade, Orr has a 5yr contract, at 160K a year. I have also heard that Seton hall still owes him about 200K a year for 1 or 2 more years.

Other Candidates

It would be very unusual if only one person were interviewed, unless you're a Kentucky with a time limit. Strange if no other names surface.

Check out the Sentinel Tribune online. They give the stats about how many were contacted and I think 5 were seriously interviewed. (I don't know how to link....sorry)

Here's the word from the Sentinel

"Christopher said he talked to 25-30 prospective candidates for the position. That led to substantial conversations with 10-12 people. He said five candidates were actually interviewed for the job."

I don't know how much more will leak out. I think he is good at keeping his mouth shut.

Yeah, but he was insisting on bringing Salami to be his shooting guard, so the deal fell through.

So we know of one guy for sure who interviewed for the job and that guy also sought out the interview.
