We could have some BIG transfer news coming soon
Ron Lewis didn’t fit at BGSU, he seems to have done well at An Ohio State University.
Lets express some faith in our very highly paid head coach. He hardly has a hard time recruiting. If he feels she can be a positive contributor to the Falcons, lets leave it at that. Keeping locker room chemistry working is his job, and evidence suggests he does it well.
This isn’t the same as a transfer from UConn to Tenn. Or OSU to Mich. Transfers occur within the MAC, it’s a smaller world, and it is to be expected.
6-5 and 16 ppg, can’t say that wouldn’t be nice. But she’ll be part of a more complete team, so those numbers may not hold.

I can only really remember two examples of this and they are both Big 10 men's players:Flipper wrote:And it's kind of rare for transfers to occur within the MAC or any other conference. Coches generally don't release players from their scholarships if they think they're interested in going to the competititon.
Indiana and Coach Knight released Lawrence Funderburke to play at Ohio State. Indiana released Luke Recker to play at Arizona then he got in a car wreck and wanted to be close to his lady friend and ended up at Iowa and I remember there being some discussion about going in conference.

Yea, that was in the Blade a week agoCLindsay16 wrote:I am told we will know by Sunday where McCoy is headed. She is visiting OU this weekend.
On a side note, some conferences restrict in-conference transfers, or make you sit for two years if you do transfer within your conference. The MAC does not.

That's fantastic...she sounds like she's 100% committed to being here. I hope she can handle sitting a year. Having a veteran like her around, even if she can't play, should help ease the leadership void created by the departure of the senior class.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
