St. Henry was great in sports forty years ago. I remember an 8th grade hoops game where their 6'4" center tapped a foul line jump ball (yes, that's what we did then) into the basket by design. They had about thirty kids at the school and they were all great athletes. They were more known for basketball then but have had a long line of football greats since.

Yeah, if we're talking old-time St. Henry, then I guess we should start with Wally Post in baseball. Wally Post might be the reason the town is even on the map in terms of professional sports.
