MAC Baseball Standings After Weekend 3

Post by BGSU33 »

Well, after losing our third consecutive MAC series and the second by a sweep at home, BG is now dead-last in the MAC. WMU vs Akron never got off the ground this weekend because of weather and Miami vs. EMU only played one game in this weekend's series. I never hope for bad weather for BG games, but after this weekend's results, I guess Mother Nature couldn't even help us out. Clearly if we have any hope of making the MAC Tournament we've got to start not only winning some MAC series, but getting a sweep here or there. There's still a lot of baseball to be played, and we've got to go one game at a time, but there's NEVER a better time than getting that done next weekend in a MAC series with Toledo. Here's a look at where things stand after three weekends in the MAC:

MAC EAST
Miami, 6-1
Kent State, 4-5
Akron, 2-4
Ohio, 2-7
Buffalo, 2-7
BOWLING GREEN, 1-8

MAC WEST
Central Michigan, 8-1
Eastern Michigan, 6-1
Northern Illinois, 7-2
Toledo, 5-4
Western Michigan, 3-3
Ball State, 3-6

Next Wekend's MAC Series:
BOWLING GREEN@ Toledo
Miami @ Northern Illinois
Ohio @ Eastern Michigan
Kent State @ Ball State
Central Michigan @ Akron
Western Michigan @ Buffalo
GO BG!!!

1. That the baseball season isn't over.

2. That the football team had the best record in the MAC from 2001-2005

3. That the basketball program has a new coach.

4. That cross country competes in meets and invitationals, so W/L records are immaterial. They had one dual meet against Toledo in 2006 which was split.

5. That the women's soccer program has won the MAC and gone to the NCAA's 2 of the last 3 years.

Hockey? It has sure been a horrible year for BG men's teams this year. The only other men's team is golf. 2007-8 can only get better. LOL!

We lost to tsun in football and hoops....this is our last chance this year to beat them in something on the men's side.

BG leads tsun in baseball all time, 106-79, including a 3 game sweep last year. Today's game starts at 3, Sat and Sun at 1.

GO FALCONS!!!! BEAT TOLEDO!!!
