Position switches (guaranteed to drive you crazy) continue on defense. Eric Ransom is now #1 at RB, and he continues to say good things about Tyler Sheehan.

What I would guess the new depth chart looks like.....

I assumed Mahone is playing SLB and starting.....That is an assumption.

I wonder about the depth at Corner. Who takes over in the 2 deep at Cornerback?

Ransom could be a game-changer for us out of the spread. Our normal offense naturally lends itself to a scat-back. Bullock should still be a big part of things, especially on the goal line. You can never have too many good runningbacks.

Interesting that Ransom is taking hold of the starting spot...Bullock was very good last year, awesome if the new guy is even better

Could give us a good 1-2 punch.

Sounds like Sheehan is developing nicely. I'll be interested to see what he does in the game Saturday, because in last year's summer scrimmage he looked like the best QB. He didn't light it up when he played last year, but he was a freshman. I'm still not convinced Anthony Turner is ever going to be even an average player for us, so I'll be anxiously watching the QB play.

Interesting that they moved Dozier inside. His physical style is definitely suited for the inside position, but he would be a bit undersized there, unless he's put some weight on. Great to hear about Briggs as well. Briggs & Dozier are my two favorite players on the defense...those guys bring it all.

The only other thing that jumped out, and really disappointed me, was that they said there won't be full tackling at the game? Seems to me that in past years we've had full go (QBs excepted obviously). I distinctly remember Dozier destroying somebody last year.

I cannot wait for this game.

dozier put on 20 pounds in the winter and is up to 225, which is still undersized to play middle. However, brandon did say that hargrove is starting at middle, which means dozier is on the bench, now i dont like the sound of that, i say keep dozier outside because i especially like how he blitzes and can get outside on swing passes and screens

I'm pretty sure there's no way a healthy Dozier isn't starting somewhere.

Any chance that we may be switching to a 3-4 defense? That is one thought that came to mind when Brandon says Hargrove is starting inside and Dozier has moved inside as well. Another thought is that Haneline must be really struggling to go from #1 on the initial spring depth chart to at least 3, with the two guys now ahead of him having moved from other positions.

One other thought was that maybe Dozier could move to end. Heck, 225 is more than Briggs weighs, isn't it?

Come on Hammb, Turner wasn't that bad last year, for only his first year starting. He threw for 1596 yards, 11 TDs, and 5 interceptions and lets not forget about his 480 yards and 5 rushing TDs. Thats not that bad and we all saw him improving those last 3 games of the season. I believe that if Sheehan starts we will go through the same thing as last year, because Sheehan doesn't have enough experience and he threw 4 interceptions and no TDs. You remember when Omar got hurt his last year at BG when Turner had to take over the offense spuddered but he still could run it in to score. Sheehan will be a good quarterback in the future, but I think right now that Turner is THE BEST for the job. But Saturday will show and we will see for shure who is ready Turner or Sheehan.

I will give AT the benefit of the doubt since he didn't play any games in good health last year. From what all the guys on the team are saying, Tyler is good, but has kinks to work out before he plays. They tell me AT is the man, he has all the tools, and will break out this year. I am personally skeptical of him still, even with all these guys' confidence in him. The kid may be awesome this year, I just can't wait until Saturday so we can see what being healthy does for him.

I'm with hammb on this one. I don't think I've ever seen him throw a catchable pass on the sideline, and he holds onto the ball way too long before he makes a decision. I can't count the number of times I saw recievers standing on one position waiting for him to throw the ball.

I really think Tyler is the man.

Man mmisbg, I mean no disrespect man, but all the games that Sheehan played in he played badly, throwing interceptions like crazy, he was the one waiting to throw the ball. I understand he was only a freshman, but come on he has no way to excape the blitz. One of the reasons Turner was having trouble making decisions because of the bogus plays they were giving him. The only real wide recievers they had out there was Cory, and Turney and Cory put on a show most of the season. Turner was'nt too slow in the Akron game when it counted or the Buffalo game, those games I just mentioned he wasn't hurt.
