Home Game Kickoff Times Announced

Post by ZiggyZoomba »

TBA no longer!

The Bowling Green State University football team will play four of its five home games under the lights this season at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. Two of the five games also are scheduled to be televised nationally.

The first three BGSU home games will begin at 6 p.m. The Falcons hosts Temple on September 22 on Hall of Fame Weekend, which also will serve as the date of the official dedication of the new Sebo Athletic Center. A week later on September 29, the Falcons play Western Kentucky as part of the annual Homecoming Festivities and on October 27 BGSU will battle Ohio during Family Weekend.

""As much as possible, we'd like a consistent kickoff time for our fans, said BGSU Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Greg Christopher. "Discussions with student and campus leaders led to the 6 p.m. starts for the first three games."
Television has dictated the starting times for the final two home contests. BGSU will play Akron on Friday, November 2 in a 7 p.m. contest that will air on ESPNU. The Falcons final home game against arch-rival Toledo also will be shown on ESPNU and will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, November 23.

"We're excited to have these games shown to a national audience," added Christopher. "Our last two games against Akron have gone down to the wire and the rivalry with Toledo is always intense and entertaining."

Season tickets are on sale now. For more information, contact Director of Ticket Sales Joel Coffman at (419) 372-4349.

AWESOME!

I don't like the schedule so much, but it's great to see so many evening games, and only one day game!

Mr. Christopher's stock is going way up. I'm more and more inclined to believe that our football schedule is the result of Chryst's poor judgement than anything else. My last couple years of school are looking better and better.

Curious what they are doing with homecoming festivities with a night game. Didn't they always have some type of evening entertainment after the game?

They didn't this year. They opted to go with a Spring concert (which was last night featuring OAR).

I'm OK with the evening games...I guess. Although the early seasonday games usually lead to some "less than modestly attired " females in the house.

hammb and Schad...are you against women with artificial racks, or just stadiums with artificial grass? :-)

I don't know about others, but if I can touch it, it's not fake.

Actually cannot stand fakies.

I never tip a stripper with a fake rack...big or small, I'm not picky, but I like 'em to be natural.

I would have to say I'm more dead set against fake racks than I am fake grass.

Seriously. Fake boobs are gross. Unless they're nice.

Fakes are a must on a stripper...it lends to the surreal nature of a strip club.

Is bringing up breasts a sure way to hijack a thread?

Not if we tie them in to the fact that the better the football team is, the more of them there are at the game, and the more they get shown off. The 2004 football season was one of the reasons I fell in love with BGSU: There were half naked orange and brown women everywhere! IT WAS GLORIOUS!

Once you turn 21, you can make a lot of "friends" if you bring a keg to the tailgate.

FMB prohibits this 'friend making' before games. Gotta give a little to get a little I guess.

I bring kegs to many of the tailgates, and they don't seem to go for homebrew :( We had a couple girls inquire about it last year, but they moved back to the natty.

Silly girls.
