Football Starting Times
Football Starting Times
So for those of you who will be marching in the FMB in the fall and don't go over to the Football forum often, the Starting times have now been set.
2007 BGSU Home Football Schedule
September 22, Temple (Hall of Fame Weekend/Sebo Center Dedication), 6 p.m.
September 29, Western Kentucky (Homecoming), 6 p.m.
October 27, Ohio (Family Weekend), 6 p.m.
November 2 (Friday), Akron (ESPNU), 7 p.m.
November 23 (Friday), Toledo (ESPNU), 2:30 p.m.
With the earliest game starting at 2:30, it looks like there won't be any early early morning rehearsals! (Even though those are always fun!)

Well, I'm surprised you guys would hold rehearsal so far from BG that there were actual hills to walk up. That probably made rehearsals even earlier as the nearest hill is at least an hour away.
Yeah right girl!

Actually at one time, BG had numerous hills. But that was at a time when college students actually walked to get from point A to point B. In fact, they walked so much, that they wore down those hills and that is why BG is flat today. The Niz wrote:Well, I'm surprised you guys would hold rehearsal so far from BG that there were actual hills to walk up. We didn't do that mainly because too many people complained, and hayward came down on us...but we'll do what we can...besides, we're the ones who says who gets quiggleys and who doesn't. It's not our position to make sure that everyone shows up on time. You need to take care of your own section just as well. We don't like picking up your slack, but we won't complain about it. 8)The Niz wrote:You guys need to make sure people get their quiggleys done this year too. People showed up to rehearsal late all the time this year and suffered NO consequence from anybody.Strouse wrote:Hey, as long as I have a say in the Maggots, We'll still be having 5 AM Breakfasts

Next time a euphonium player shows up late you point it out to me. I'm not sure there was a single time it happened this year. However, if tombones and flutes had showed up on time (this is one specific instance) then a serious injury would have been avoided and there wouldn't have been a hole in pre-game all year. There also wouldn't have been a huge hole in our first show.
Let them complain. If people would do their jobs, and be accountable, then there never be any need for quiggleys. Since accountability is a real problem for some people, I believe there is a serious need for their return this year. It is a non-invasive, no hazing attached, only slightly humiliating form of corporate punishment that really gets the message accrossed. Its the best form of punishment anyone has ever come up with.
All I'm saying is that 2 years ago there was wide spread motivation to be on time because of quiggleys and azz-hole sousaphone players, now there is only motivation on the individual section basis.

What!?! No quigglies? What's the world coming to? Back in the old days, we gave one of our directors a quiggley for making us march in tornado force winds and lightning. He did it at the end of rehearsal after we had thoroughly muddied the field...and he was wearing white dress pants...up hill both ways.
Bring back the quiggley!
and buffo!!

I'll do what I can about the quigglies since I'll be one of three seniors, but I doubt I can do anything about buffoable1 wrote:What!?! No quigglies? What's the world coming to?
