Keston Cheathem

Post by brewer »

According to the Fresno paper, WR Keston Cheathem is heading to BG (although they spelled both his names wrong). Cheathem was originally a Michigan signee. After his redshirt fr season there, he transferred to Oregon State to be "closer to home". I believe he got kicked off the OSU team last spring for "rules violations" and spent 2006 at Fresno City College. IF he has his head in the right place, he could be an interesting addition. Assuming his grade are in order, he'll be eligible to play right away.

Krickey...Rivals had this kid as *** prospect when he graduated back in 2004. 6-3, 195lbs and a 4.5 40.

2004? Hokey smokes....do you realize that when this kid graduated HS Britney Spears was still hot? That was a long time ago!

Scout.com also had him at *** coming out of HS. In 2006 he caught 31 passes for 388yds and 4 TD's. The school only passed for 1700 yds ttl...so it looks like he was in a run oriented offense.

Thanks for the heads-up. This kid sounds like he could be a nice addition to our WR unit. I hope things work out and that he ends up a Falcon and on the field this season.
GO BG!!!
