Putting things into perspective

Post by kdog27 »

Think about this. Marshall lost to Georgia 13-3, Marshall lost to OSU 24-21. We could have beaten Marshall by 35 points today. ...Temple's two worst losses of the season are from the MAC. If we were in the Big East we would be playing for a BCS game. We are as good or better then Cuse, BC, and WVU. I honestly do not believe there is a better all around receiving corps in the country then we have.

yeah, on the radio Todd said Goddard had 2 tackles and got to Omar once, but had no sacks. Sounds like we did pretty well at keeping him out of the game.

Garrett Wolfe, naturally.

Omar was excellent today. He's been better than should be expected from a soph with little experience.

Man, how I wish we could get another shot at NIU *and* Oklahoma, now with 6-8 games under Omar's belt.... not saying the results would necessarily change, but those were two darn tough environments to play two of his first 3 games in!

And he appeared to do pretty well.

I think both of these guys deserve the honor, but Wolfe will probably win it if NIU takes care of business next Saturday. I believe they are both soph. as well, correct?. Watch out NFL Draft class of 2007.

Yeah now that he's adjusted to the college game Omar might throw for 300 and 3-4 TDs on OU's defense.

Unfortunately now that he's adjusted to the college game Adrian Peterson may run for 300 and 3-4 TDs on our defense! :(

I'm quite happy the way we already played OU, I don't think we want to see Adrian Peterson again. Remember we gave up 200+ against the combo of Peterson & their incumbent. The returning starter is way less talented, woulda been a lot more had they used Peterson full time like they do now.

Still would be a good game, but don't think we'd win.

his adjustments don't count! I think you're right, which is why I think the outcome might not change. Not to mention I think with the way our secondary has looked at times, even if we could hold Peterson down, Jason White would have a field day going deep. Our offense now would make it interesting, though.
