How do you know that's what he was doing? How do you know if HE knows what he's doing? Please, don't tell me you understood any of that. Aside from MACMAN having an overly strong concern about gayness( I suspect latent tendencies here) I never know what the heck he's talking about.

Ok, so where was the Badger Showdown that was in the Bradley Center? I have been to two tourneys there, the last one was when Price was the senior captain and we won it.

The Bradley Center is in Milwaukee, I believe.

Yup, that's where I remember going! We had a blast both times we went, though the first time, our son was an infant. The second time we went without kids...a little more fun! Thanks for clarifying! Obviously they changed the name of the tourney when they changed the location.

I'd bet their season ticket base is large enough to demand advertising for them in the spring. Unfortunately, it looks like last year we didn't advertise them until late September.
So, it's okay to advertise hockey season tickets in the spring? Why not advertise early. It seems to me that BG Sports fails to do the little things to truely make them successful.

Get your crap together and go out and advertise the fact that season tickets are for sale. Get people thinking of hockey early. It can only help with the number of season tickets sold.

I completely agree, FCF, I was just saying that Wisconsin probably has more of an urgency so they can get ticket orders sorted and processed over a larger fan base. We don't seem to have that problem... yet. :D

While it's never TOO early to promote and sell season tickets, September definitely seems too late to advertise it. I think we might do well to do "early bird" sales with all of our season ticket sales, either discounted prices, or extra tickets to big games for those that order season tickets more than 2-3 months before the season starts. For hockey, what if they'd give a pair of tickets to an OSU, UM and MSU game for every season ticket order placed before August 1?

I was half in the bag at the time of that posting, so take it for what it's worth.

Seriously, though, the badmouthing about little things like a logo do get old. In my humble opinion, one should support the school or not support it at all. When visitors read this kind of stuff about hating gay logos or coaches or benches or fences or goalposts or grass, it doesn't give a very good impression of the school as a whole, and we are a heck of a lot better than this petty garbage.

There are a LOT of things that I think could be done differently or better, but I don't pull my donations because of them, and I certainly don't bitch about it on a public, permanent forum.

I cant help but bad mouth the obviously gay new logo, it was a bad decision and if people dont express their hatred or dislike of something that bad and needless no one will listen, and worse yet is some thinking how great it is. I dont have a form letter that I send weekly, I do bring it up in the right company and express it frequently and often here, but im not going to change that...the change was bad and they should go back.
Field turf, sure they could have kept us on quality grass, and invested in a new drainage system, football is to be played on grass...I wont give to that purpose I dont see it as worth while...and while I think the design of Sebo is disgusting I supported that architectural mistake...It pains me to think of what a new Ice house would look like
i love falcon football, its quality local football but
Our punt formation does suck, it needs to be said over and over again, it has cost us games and if he continues to use it will cost us more...i would venture to bet that if used a traditional punt formation and spotted every team play 7pts we would stand a better chance. I wont say any more about the PF...esp since you all know it...not another word untill it costs some points in excess of 7.
I have no faith in AT as a qb, I stand by posts that last season was wasted on him and the results last season would have been better spent developing G, so that this season we could return to productivity and have 3 quality years. His off field antics aside and used only as emphasis to that end.
I love the real faclcon logo, I love falcon sports, I love the culture of the UNIV, I believe in this falcon hockey team and know they will do great this season. I am unsure about football, dont watch basketball, did watch womens basketball this year, and I like baseball...just wish it was in a dome

MACMAN - what you have said here sounds an aweful lot like what some of us have said about Pooch as a coach.

Interesting......

so you don't like that football is going to be played on fake grass, but you wish baseball was played in a dome, which would mean they would play on fake grass :-k

I have no idea what is the matter with you people.

This is the HOCKEY FORUM. The game is not played out of doors nor is it played on an artificial surface.

Try this thread again, if you wish.
