Did anybody notice some of the stands on the east side of the stadium removed? Are they getting new seats at the Doyt also?

I think that might be related to the new locker room expansion and rennovation that is going on right underneath where I saw them working.

Anyone else "install" their turf yet? It's a much darker green than the rest of my lawn. It was dark last night, but I'll get some photos the next sunny day.

One thing to remember if anyone else is planting some of this DoytTurf(TM), WATER, WATER, WATER, for the first week or two!

You know what I thought would be a fitting use for some of the grass they are removing from the stadium? To take a 4x6 patch of sod and go over to the cemetery and remove some grass and lay a piece of the stadium sod over the resting place for the man they named the stadium after – Doyt L. Perry.
GO BG!!!

Interesting thought, as we are planning on doing exactly that on my dad's grave, who was a friend of Doyt's and played football with him at BG.

I had thought the same thing when they first started pulling it up.

Tony,
Why don't you use your "influence and contacts" and call Greg Christopher with the suggestion...Unless DLP's family objects, I think it's a great idea.

Perhaps...

Though "how are ya, I'm working on a website about BG sports" is a little different than "can we skim some turf off your father's grave?"

:-D
