I would love to see us start another series with ECU. That game at the Doyt in 1992 is easily in my top 5 memorable games in stadium history.
Since your dying to know.....
Flipper's top 5 memorable Doyt Perry Stadium games
1 NIU @ BGSU in 2003 (Gameday!!!!!)
2. UT @ BGSU in 1983 (attendance record)
3. UT @ BGSU in 2003 (won the West, baby)
4. ECU @ BGSU in 1992 (an absolute track meet)
5. Miami @ BGSU in 1985 (the comeback I missed cause I went out to get loaded...it was my birthday)

If you are coaching under Greg Brandon....Yes.
This looks very bad IMO. It helps corroborate the idea that coaches were jumping off of a sinking ship.
Maybe we can get an Ay-Ziggy-Zoomba interview with him and find out hte reasons.

Coach Hargreaves is a coach who had some previous success who needed a job (FIU housecleaning). Coach Hargreaves is a Southern based coach- his experience is south. ECU needed a defensive side of the ball coach at an odd point in the year. I would bet Coach Hargreaves looked at this as an opportunity to get back toward his "home" operating base.
Just my thought.
Go Falcons!

Nonsense...the guy has a ties with the head coach at ECU and as ff1 pointed out, he's coached "down south" for the past decade. The job at ECU probably pays more as well.Globetrotter wrote:Pay wise yes.BGDrew wrote:Is a D-Line coach at ECU a step up over a LB coach at BG?

If anything, it makes Hargreaves look worse than us...he was only here a few months before leaving. It makes him look a bit unstable hopping from job to job like some...job hopper

It does make Hargreaves look bad. And he has to realize it does make him look bad. So he has to have a very good reason to take an action like this.Flipper wrote:Nonsense...the guy has a ties with the head coach at ECU and as ff1 pointed out, he's coached "down south" for the past decade. Many people start a job and realize that it was not what they expected and then leave that job. See Dan Dakich. He saw a mess on his hands and left.

I see...so, in spite of the fact that there are at least three really BIG, good reasons for the guy to take the job, you prefer to attribute his departure to some sort of sudden animus towards Brandon or Bowling Green.
Sure...that makes sense....

It makes sense for you to ignore the possibilty too. Especially when every assistant coach from last season was promoted in house or left.Flipper wrote:I see...so, in spite of the fact that there are at least three really BIG, good reasons for the guy to take the job, you prefer to attribute his departure to some sort of sudden animus towards Brandon or Bowling Green.

If you believe that Dakich leaving had 100% everything to do with him wanting out, I've got a bridge you might be interested in purchasing.
