Not only did they not shake hands at the end of the game...but check my personal perspective.
While McGrady lay on the ground, not moving, half of the marshall team watched in concern. As for the defense that caused the injury, they sat on their bench and laughed. They talked crap to the fans, and laughed about what had happened. Classless....that's all I can say.
At the end of the game, I repayed the favor by staying the entire last quarter, and laughing as their players cried away their season!
Go Falcons, way to be good sports, and tremendous athletes.

The vast majority of the team was respectful. But, yeah, there were about four jokers doing this. We could hear them jabbering all the way up in row 34. It seemed possible the students were egging them on... but it still lacked class.
The band was right there on top of it. I'm curious to hear reports.
There were a few BG fans talking crap to the Marshall players & coaches... mostly out of justified anger, I'd guess. Still, lots of the band was trying to "shush" them out of respect for having a player down, but I bet you can guess how well that worked.
McMetz was right where he could see everything.... I bet he'll post a much more detailed response before long...

Actually I posted something about this in another thread already so I won't repeat here. I was more concered about C-Mac rather than how their players were reacting anyways. They are a bunch of trash that we just gave a huge goodbye to. See ya later turds!

BG puts up fifty-six.
Get the hell out, now!
The best part about scoring 56: The fact that it makes the game look a lot CLOSER than it really was. after watching the game, im dissapointed we didnt throw up 70-80+ on that team.

Actually I sat directly behind the bench. As the injury took place, it had nothing to do with the players, one of the defensive players overherd his mother and sister being cussed at by some students.
One thing led to another, and then you have two Herd players talking to the fans.

Why were they on the bench at all, after putting a kid in the hospital. YAY defense. I guess they were just too tired of BG rolling over them that it came down to ' make a cheap shot and go sit down'.

Yeah, seriously. Like I said before, if you put a kid in an ambulance on the field with a cheap shot, you sit there and take your medicine. I don't care if you're a player, a parent or a fan of the offending team. You take your medicine and you like it, especially on the road.
You can try and justify that hit all you want, but helmet to helmet is never acceptable, especially when a player is pulling up and looking away from a play that is already over. You can't do it and shame on Marshall fans for trying. This is exactly why everyone in the MAC is happy to see the Herd go. I don't care what you guys have done for the conference, you can't play dirty like that, try to make stupid excuses about "playing hard" and not have everyone hate you and call you classless.
Good riddance terds, and you're all very lucky that Corn is OK.

There is video of the hit as part of the highlight package at www.herdtv.com.
