I'm just happy as hell you are all here to dissect the team and inform those of us like myself who don't have the time or inclination to research and study the team as many of you do.

BTW- It's friday...... 3:30 PM...... got lots done today/this week..... Sam Adams is visiting the studio. :-D

While reading this magazine today I noticed under the MAC section it said something like "since the divisonal record will determine each divison's champion these games are more important, because the cross divison games will only count towards a tie breaker."

Sorry if thats not right, but that's how I remember it... and is it saying what I think it's saying or am I reading it wrong?
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

No..in a manner of speaking we're playing an equally balanced conference/non conference schedule this year. there's a host of explanantions...but the simplest is "blame Temple"
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Speaking of Temple, I can't help but think that our AD should've put up a fight and as well as the other schools AD's over bringing in Temple without another school in the package. Temple should've never entered the Mac with out another school coming in as well. I think the Mac would do fine though with just 10 or 12 , 13 and 14 schools just bogs down the conference IMHO.

Not unfortunate to me. AT had ample chance to seize the job last year, and came up short. He followed that up by looking like the third best QB on the team at the spring game.
And that's saying something given that Sheehan struggled at times and Glaud didn't get that many opportunities.

If Turner is our best QB we better hope he's improved drastically over what he showed most of last year and in the spring game. I'd be quite happy to see somebody other than Turner take the bulk of this year's snaps.
You sure do take the opportunites to put down Turner. If they go with inexperience you will get the same results as the last season.
which is exactly why wasting last season on kid was about as bright an idea as our punt formation, and the prevent defense.....we are better off developing a young prancing stallion this year than squandering yet another season on a rusted out pinto with a loud exhaust...that lol blows smoke...lol. .

**** edited by Flipper to remove MACMAN's usual slur against Turner. BTW MACMAN...typing the words "prancing stallion" is gayer than our logo could ever hope to be*********

Ya know, AT hasn't shown the total package yet but to rip the kid is uncalled for. I know he hasn't been the BiG star we hoped when recruited but he's still a Falcon, man. It's this attitude that has me hoping he's stepped up his game and ready to break out in 2007...he doesn't have a choice at this time. If he doesn't get it done at QB, at least get him on the field in some capacity.

GO FALCONS!!!

ABSOLUTELY. AT is a football player, just may not be the QB. He wasn't prepared to get it done last year but he didn't get a lot of help. Remember when Josh Harris entered the game at QB to simply to take snaps and run. Fortunately he didn't have to take the whole job and he was just a freshman with more time to develop. How things changed quickly and then he graduated. It is amazing how these guys become real college players in practice or in front of the our critical eyes in just 4-5 short years.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.

Hey MACMAN we all remember Omar's last season don't we. Well I'm sure everyone remembers the game that Omar went down with the shoulder injury, and AT went in and balled. He had like 252 passing yds., threw for one touchdown and 2 interceptions, ran for about 2 TDs. That was his first game in college having to run the offense during a game. Well lets think about how well Tyler played his first game he threw 14 times completed 8, 64 yards and had no touchdowns and 1 pick. OH YEAH HE HAD -18 RUSHING YARDS AND NO RUSHING TDS. Well if you haven't gotten my point yet it is. That AT can throw poorly but you still can have a chance to win, but with Tyler he throws badly there will be no chance to win the game. AND BESIDES THAT GREG BRANDON NEEDS TO WIN THIS SEASON CAUSE HIS JOB IS ON THE LINE!!! SO WHY WOULD HE GO WITH A ONE DEMENSIONAL QB!!!

My original point was that how can we rely on this guy's preview when he doesn't even know the state of our QB situation?

But if you're not careful, we're going to have to assign a committee to oversee the administration of prescriptions around here, and none of us will like that.

MACMAN, you sure seem to have this grudge against AT but dont support your reasons very well, beside the fact that every one of your posts brings up the pot issue. The kid busts his ass everyday on the field to put the team in a position to win games and you sit here doggin on him for old off the field issues. The team has put those issues behind them, but you seem to have a hard time with that. Kid didnt produce great numbers last year like we all wanted to see, but believe it or not, he did show improvement and did put our team in position to win games. They didnt always go our way but we were still in most of them. Tyler Sheehan proved nothing last year, so claiming he should start over Turner right now, is ludicrous in my opinion.

I personally have no idea who should start this next season, I feel its pretty even right now with AT and TS, but the coach is trying to put some pressure on AT which is what he needs. I bet anything, come the start of the season AT is gonna be on the field. I just dont understand some fans...sitting through all the home games this year I heard "fans" chanting "420 Turner" and things of that nature and at one point even saw them chanting it towards his mother. I can understand opposing fans doing such thing, but our own Falcon fans?
