I wish someone had the forethought to save a sebocam picture every few minutes. What an awesome time lapse that would be!TG1996 wrote:Plastic... now stuff on top of plastic... looks like someone feels like working today!

Not sure where I saw it, but I thought that in one of the press releases when the Sebo work was beginning it said the University was going to make a time lapse video of the construction. If they did, I would be that they show it at the official opening in the Fall.Falcon30 wrote:I wish someone had the forethought to save a sebocam picture every few minutes. If I'm not mistaken, once all the plastic and last layer of gravel is put on top, we should start seeing some green.

Took a walk over to the stadium to get an up-close look yesterday. I'm really excited. Things are coming along well and they really seem to be picking up the pace, although that could just be because all of the really complicated stuff (removal of old turf/drainage and re-grading, etc.) is out of the way. Won't be long now. That turf is gonna look sweeeet.
Also, the track seems to be coming along nicely.
Glad to see some real progress on the facilities around here.

Driving around the stadium, I didn't see any rolls of turf or anything. There was a lot of cement being poured around the outside of the field area, so I would venture a guess to say that we won't be seeing any turf for a least another week or so.
EDIT: I found a little more detailed picture than what '87 posted:

I don't think so yet... this is pretty coarse gravel, I think there's another layer of smaller stone that needs to go down first. Also, check out my photo that show the drains and look how much the grade needs to come up for them to actually be "drains" as opposed to small islands with grates on them.
