Biggest MAC game surprise of 2007?

Post by BGSUFootballFan »

Ok, since we are all MAC football experts in our own right, I thought it would be cool to come up with this poll. Just pick the game that the final score surprise you and shocked you the most during last season.
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I'm going with Buffalo/Kent, after seeing what Kent did to us, and how well they started the season, Buffalo beating them that bad was a shock

I'm just surprised that I missed these MAC games in 2007.

I'm going to say the Temple game. For a team to break that kind of losing streak and the news stories that followed, that game finally put the team to death.

I went with the Kent game. It was early in the season, at home, we had high expectations, and, well, it was against Kent. After that shocking blowout, nothing surprised me.

I'd say Kent. Not just from a "we got blown out by Kent State", but also from the perspective of the whole MAC, it was a coming out party for Kent State.

Since we got the year thing out of the way, I would vote for BG and Temple.
No matter how much teams may change, BG pummeled Temple 70-16 in 2004 and 70-7 in 2005.

Beating OU was pretty surprising to me after that. But not nearly as surprising as the KSU loss. My roommate had been telling me for a week that we were going to lose to Temple, but I was in denial. I didn't believe it would be possible to lose to Temple no matter how bad we were. I was wrong...

same here.

Kent, at home, was a shocker and, I think, sent the team reeling.

Using the same logic that losing to KENT is shocking, beating OHIO should never be shocking.

I voted for Buffalo over Kent. I simply couldn't believe the score when I heard it.

That leads me to believe Kent is no shoe in to win the East in 2007. They haven't developed the mentality needed yet. They had the East title in hand and blew chunks down the stretch.

Yeah, they beat us 38-3. We gave them the ball on our half of the field 3-4 times with to's. That was the ugliest BG game I've ever seen.

Losing to Temple was...ummm...I can't seem to find the right words. LOL! It was horrible and the abuse I took at work from the OSU faithful was unrelenting.

Yea sorry about typing 2007, like someone said earlier I must have been thinking video game haha! I voted for our win over Ohio. The reason being that was their ONLY loss in the MAC, and it came to a pretty good man handling on their home turf, fresh off of us getting smacked in the mouth by Kent... which would have been my 2nd pick!
