BUT...and this is difficult for me to say (those of you who know me...know why), I do NOT blame the Ice Arena Director for any of the issues facing the program, well at least not from his perfomance in his CURRENT job. His FORMER job, is another matter entirely. If you listen to people who know better, we wouldn't even have ICE in the arena at this point if it weren't for Buddy Powers and a roll of Duct Tape!
HAHA! Just think, it's October 1st and something breaks in part of the cooling system of the ice (I know nothing of the workings) and there are no replacement parts available. What does the team do? Play all of their games at Tam O until someone "in charge" FINALLY figures out that the system needs to be fixed? Another point is why is the Ice Arena director actually perfoming as many as 4 other jobs?Anyway, I think a whole house cleaning is in order as well...BUT, by the time that this 'cleaning' happens, will there be a program left to save? Our average attendance last year was around 2000...how much lower will it continue to go if we finish DFL again?
