Boy, this is going to be tough for me. The one angled shot which is the first photo makes the field look like a big freaking carpet.

It's looks weird to me without the crown. Weird, weird, weird, weird.

There is still a SLIGHT crown... but yeah, it's different. From a QB perspective, I would think your view downfield would be a little worse as you don't have that extra elevation in the center of the field.

It sure is looking amazing though. Especially when you realize the grass everywhere in NW Ohio is DEAD!

There's only enough crown to get the run-off of rain. I think it'd be cool if instead of using your default stencils we'd use the Falcon font to do numbers. Also, the field still needs "brushed" so that will alter the color to be a little lighter. Looking at Ohio State's photos are the best example of what things will look like.

Very Cool.

Now we need to get a real scoreboard. Centerville High School has a better scoreboard then ours.

Yeah, I think Drew mentioned it in his post, but the top of our scoreboard is REALLY faded out. Looks pretty bad. On the good side of that news though, it looks like it's a fabric or vinyl component of some sort and should be easy to update before the first game.

I doubt there will be a significant investment into the scoreboard system until a final decision is made on the convocation center. I'd hate to see something awesome installed that needed to be demo'd to make way for the new building. Then again, at the rate we move on things like that, even a brand new one could be out-of-date by the time a convocation center is beyond the dream stages....

I think Greg Christopher might be the guy that actually moves that Convo center thing beyond the meeting and planning stages...we might even get one of those little mock ups built
