No clue. Have been operating under the assumption that it will be the same process as the hash marks... but I guess we'll find out. I'll be over there this evening and can find out in person.
Well, they took off the stencils so maybe they marked a spot to cut out and replace with white? Although if they were going to do this wouldn't they have a pile of white numbers somewhere?
My bet is on paint. Hash marks are all uniform so that makes it easier for them to just be plugged in. Numbers have to many contact points to be fitted in IMHO.
They cut the turf off and fill with white turf etc. They are cutting (shaving) the hash marks and numbers today and the mid field graphics (rolled up)are also laying out in the middle of the field. It won't be long now!
My home high school got the synthetic turf last year. After sewing it together, they actually use what appear to be large carpet stretchers and stretch it out. Now, this field is different because of the drains on the outskirts and my high school used turf that drained through it into underground drainage tile, so they may be using different turf here.

I hope there are carpet scraps or something on it right now because it does not look crisp like it does in it's other applications (AA, Ice Arena and merchandise).
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
...are they going to put anything else in the endzones or just leave them solid orange? I would assume that they're going to have "Falcons" or something similiar, but I haven't seen anything about it. No matter what it looks awesome and I can't wait to get up to a game this fall!

You would probably have to live here to fully appreciate the depth of my sympathy for your coincidentally unfortunate experience with TV. SEBOcam does it for me this summer.

Works for me. What about the MAC logo? I figure that's gotta be on the field...around the 30's or so.
I stopped by the field after work today and talked to someone in the alumni marketing department who was giving a tour to one of our alumns. It looked fantastic at 5:30 today and I can't wait to see how much different it looks by Monday afternoon. While I don't like the new logo a whole lot, it is really sharp in the middle of the field, and it is MASSIVE. The band stands look great too.
