Why be mad at Turner? He didn't make the decision to keep himself. Macman should be directing his anger towards Brandon...he made the decision to keep Turner.

Hmmm...Macman has made these references in other threads about thuggery and rolling etc... I think Macman has done a bit of racial profiling here. Perhaps he would be cutting Turner some slack if he were more like Tyler Sheehan...

Then again, he visualizes AT talking like Jeff Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High, so I could be wrong.

You are harsh to compare smoking pot in a car with rape. I don't know where the connection is between the two. Violence on the football field such as an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty is closer to rape than any of the charges I have recently seen against any Falcon player. Rape is a crime that directly hurts a person and affects relationships of many to that person as well as their friends own sense of security. Or is it possible that you are demeaning rape to the level of a misdmeanor which would be even worse.

Based on your argument I would guess Coach Brandon should throw off the team and take away the scholarship of every bum that commits a 15 yard penalty.

How can you say we are breeding these types of players? Because we didnt kick a kid off the team for smoking pot? So your saying that if someone smokes a lil pot they are more likely to rape a girl? I have many a friends who smoked/smoke pot and would never commit such a heinous crime like rape. As a matter of fact, they would probably rather eat a whole bag of dorritos then see a girl naked.

You're so sure that Glaud or Sheehan should be the QB because AT is a "pothead" in your opinion. Not accusing Glaud or Sheehan of anything, but what makes you think they are clean? Is it just because they haven't been caught with anything? So its ok to smoke pot or break the law as long as you don't get caught? This goes for any player...on any team...every team has guys that smoke pot or do a little underage drinking, that can't be controlled...they are in college just like we all are/once were...although im starting to believe MACMAN didn't goto college and has lead a perfect lil sheltered life...

The whole premise is idiotic. The Turner thing happened a YEAR AGO....if keeping him around was going to "breed" more deviant behavoir we'd be knee deep in rapists, heroin addicts and tax attornies by now.

Oh..silly me..he didn't call Turner a thug, he implied he was going to engage in dog fighting. You're right, that's completely different...

Sorry, I assummed guilt since he was no longer on the team. You guys must get rid of all the accused or assummed thugs immediately.

I wonder if anyone can direct our two respective programs to THE Utopia University where football players are full of youth, athleticism, brains and aggressive play while never making a stupid mistake or breaking a law in the pursuit of their youthful education?
