I'm doing spring cleaning. I've got a 2000 football media guide. It's in decent shape.
First come, first serve. Just PM me with an address.

I'd like to thank the academy....
So let's see... that's about eight years down...89 to go.
Thanks Schad!

Uh, the 2000 season (shudder)
I remember trying to find an open seat during one of the last home games. I found one fairly close to the field and sat down only to be rudely told to leave by a woman who informed me that I was trespassing in the special "coaches wives" reserved section.
I smiled and said "Well, I guess you won't be here much longer anyway."

2000...yeah, that was definitely a low point in BG history. The most frustrating thing was BG could have easily been 6-5 with all the close losses that year. BG lost @ Buffalo by 3, Akron by 6, Marshall by 7 and Ohio U by 2. If I remember correctly, BG had the lead in the 4th quarter in all those games except Akron. BG had the ball inside the Akron 5 yard line TWICE in the 4th quarter down by 6...and Blackney ran the ball up the middle on almost every play. TWICE the Zips stopped BG on downs...
We lost 27-21.
BG led Marshall 13-6 in the fouth and gave up a long TD pass...13-13 with 4 min left. The Turd forced a 3 and out and the Marshall PR man took it back 60 yards to the house and BG lost 20-13.
BG fell behind Ohio, 23-21, and missed a potential game winning FG with 2 min left. Buffalo? Oh please don't make me relive that game again.
Very tough year....
JoeFalcon,
That was pretty funny! LOL!

Yeah, 2000 was my first year of watching, or even knowing about BG football. That Akron game still lives on in infamy with my friends who were there. All you have to do is say the phrase "Run it up the middle," and we all know exactly what's being referenced. That game lost Blackney his job.Falconfreak90 wrote:2000...yeah, that was definitely a low point in BG history.
