Open Seats

Post by Touchdown Rockets »

Hello there BGSU fans. It's been nice to see so many of you popping in on the ncaabbs board, I figured that I would return the favor with a little help for you.

I was talking with some guys from the UT athletic department today and they were trying to determine how many tickets to offer to the folks of Wood County. At first, they wanted to send a 50 ticket package to BGSU, but I told them that you would probably bring more than that. They decided to offer 100 tickets and UT fans could just fill in the extra seats for those that don't show up. So, if you think you guys can drag enough friends, neighbors, relatives, etc. to get your attendance up to around 100, the seats are yours.

Saddle up the horses or any other mode of transportation and let your team know that you have fans willing to travel. :D

How many fans did we travel to the Motor City Bowl last year? I believe it was some kind of record, but I can't really be sure...

Well i bought four of those tickets (from the bg ticket office) and paid $29.00/ticket --- about twice what I pay for a home game at BG. I can live with that 'cause this is a big game. What ticked me off, however, was the $3.00 processing fee they charged me for the tickets. What does "processing" mean anyway? So let's see, if 1000 people bought tickets for the game via the BG ticket office, that office would receive $3000.00 to process the tickets. Isn't this just another way to gouge??

Hick Football On The March

Ok, I have taken enough of this WOod County hick stuff and we all are farmers, full pull stuff. I say, instead of taking it as an insult we embrace the remarks. Sure, we are all farmers, we have no trees on our campus and all of our students, who mainly come from greater Cleveland, are all hill billy hicks.

The soccer team in Scotland where I was born did a similar thing. They are from the north and more of a rural area, therfore the Glasgow (big city, toledo types) fans of Celtic and Rangers woudl call our team country and in the ever so affectionate Scottish term of "Sheep Shagging B*stards". So what did the team's fans do? They embraced it and started using a Sheep as an unofficial mascot and sort of took pride/joked about being Sheepshaggers. Much like Indiana takes pride in being Hoosiers or Oklahoma takes pride in being called Sooners- both derogitory in nature.

So, fine feathered Falcon fans, put on your Carharts, brush your tooth, put on cow bell on your girl, and I say we give them a Hill Billy Football slap in the Mouf. We'll leave the UT fans with tons of STDs!!!! (sweet touch downs)

Here, I'll even drive, my orange tractor seats 4. .. .

Sorry, I'd love to agree with you, but I'm from the Burbs. Always have been, probably always will be. I'm not jumping onto your hay ride to the A$$ Bowl. I'm going with the band in the busses! Jeff

I'm down with that. Hence my avatar.

I can create other tractor logos for those of you who would like one.
