Nothing to add. I agree.

I like them both, especially the White one. Not impressed enough to spend $135, but impressed.

If the jersey truly is "authentic" and not Koronis, I'd spend the money.

I do believe, if my seeing eyes do not deceive me, that there is actual BROWN, not black, in those sweaters. For my money, you could put a picture of a damned sasquatch on the sweaters, so long as they are Orange and Brown! :D
oddly we share similar feelings...its a regular Barbra S. moment...can ya feel it.
Now excuses me while I clean puke off my monitor again from having seen that putrid hack off logo

But,

Why the overkill of the peek-a-boo BG THREE times on the white one??? They should have a big spaceghost on the front and the BG-a-boo on the shoulders.
Noel:

I'm with you on both. Use either the spaceghost or the interlocking BG big on the chest, but the combo looks weak.

The jerseys are authentic. Exact same as the players wear, only smaller sizes. Hockey jerseys come in sizes 54-58. These jerseys are 46 and 48. I still don't have the money to buy one, and I think they are a little ugly.

Who's the maker of the jersey? Anybody been to SBX?

Went to SBX today to check out the new jerseys. They ARE brown again (finally), which is definitely a good thing IMO. I like the road set better than the homes, mostly because I've never been a big fan of colored shoulders and using the same logo on the shoulders and the front. They also appear fairly authentic, with CCHA patches on the jersey fronts. I didn't recognize the maker, something like CR Sports, maybe? I am slightly puzzled about that though. If we're getting new jerseys, I thought we would get them from Adidas since they are our official athletic supplier.

adidas doesn't make hockey jerseys. The teams buy jerseys and either stitch a patch on or the adidas logo.

BG's players where 46 and 48 size jerseys.

I think there's no longer a contract with Adidas, at least for hockey.

The contract is for 3 years. I would doubt that our contract with adidas (yes, it's lowercase letters) would be over already.

Jerseys

Post by BGHockey »

First of all, the jerseys last year were made by Nike. But since of the new terms of agreement with Adidas, a patch was placed over them. RBK will make the new jerseys but I am sure they will most likely have Adidas patches on them. And hockey players wear either 52 (extremely small), 54 (normal), 56 (large), or goalie cut which is a 58G.

Yep, totally agree with all this. I'm told that we had some really cool designs but that Pooch wanted a more traditional look to our jerseys. I have to say that I'm disappointed we don't have brown jersey.
