Omar will be among the featured guests on ESPNews tomorrow. If you have Internet access you can stream it live by visiting:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/espnews/index

and clicking on "Listen to the live feed" (clever...aren't they??)

Remember, around 1:50 PM...I'd tune in and listen from 1:30 - 2 just to be safe!!

You know, when I was in highschool, I used to re-write songs with lyrics that had to do with basketball...kind of a hoops version of Weird Al... You just made me think of "Dunking for You."

*to the tune of Madonna's Crazy for You*
Dunking on as the crowd screams,
Filling visions of your childhood dreams,
Point by point you slowly take the lead......
The arena smells like smoky air,
You can take the lead if you dare,
But be prepared to get it crammed right back in your face....it just shakes the place...
Because I'm dunking for youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....

Also did one for One night in Bangkok... It started out "Bank shot, oriental free-throw..."

I was a little bored with high school. LOL

There was also the All-Star Wars team comprised of such stalwart players as Chewblocka, R2-FreeThrow, Princess Layup...ummmmmmmm, I know there were more. I'll have to dig through the archives. Hahahaha..

So, in summary, yes Tony, I'll remind you. :-)

Apropos of nothing... "The Fish that Saved Pittsburgh" was on ESPN Classic last night. I think the producers smoked a lot of weed and then combined "Rocky" Disco and basketball into one horrible package. How they managed to make that flick w/o casting Dickie V as the coach is beyond me...

Oh, it's apropos alright, if only because I watched the WHOLE DAMN THING for about the 43rd time!!! Dr. J is the finest actor ever...well, with the possible exception of Shaq in Blue Chips and Kazaam!

No one captured the sturm and drang associated with college athletics like Robbie Benson in One on One...

Well......I hate to break up this nonsensical lovefest, and even if this is but an interruption, I would like to be the first to say:

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME BRUCIE BRUCE WAS ON ESPN NEWS?!?!?!

We're going to kill Tole_o.

Continue.

I really couldn't care less about Toledo and/or their quarterback.

Grant,
Will you have it posted afterwards on here? I cannot listen during the day, but would love it hear it later on when I am at home!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

No, I can't capture the audio at work...doubt if I'll even be able to listen, but I think they post the transcript somewhere on the ESPN.com site later in the day.

Hey, I just remembered the center of the team was Darth Vader -- Intimidator!

That only leaves one spot...
