Thats quite an ambitious project for Akron, but it will help them as far as student attendance is concerned. I love the design because it resembles the Rubber Bowl yet it is flexible in the way of being built to be enclosed in the future. We should look into something like that when we get ready to replace the grandstands of Doyt Perry. It would be really cool to have the SEBO in the north end zone, the convocation center in the south end zone, and modern seating surrounding the new field turf. We talked about how nice it would be to have lowered the field, maybe the answer is to just raise the seating.

I was not too surprised seeing they were going to build a new stadium. I think the Rubber Bowl was one of the projects built under one of the New Deal programs in the 30s, and besides the new artificial turf, it looks like the stadium hasn't changed a bit since the days of FDR.

That looks like an AWESOME stadium. If Akron builds a facility like that, they will have the best stadium in the MAC.

Gotta admit Peden is one of my faves in the MAC. It is a sweet setup in Athens and we usually win there...which is always nice. :-D

Peden is not a big deal. We may have them beat at this point.

I never thought Peden was a BiG deal...but the setup along the river makes it very inviting. The home side on the outside of the stadium is very nice. There isn't a bad seat in the house. I like the place...
