If ever there was a need for a filter in the gene pool, these people ar ethe reason. Not only is their key put-down on us the fact that we [holy crap!] disscuss our arc rival, but now they take personal shots against our members. And its not the first time. Really im just getting sick of it. Grow the F up and learn to talk about football.

Guys(toledo lurkers), I frankly dont give a damn. As its been proven, we can photoshop and post pictures with humorous captions a lot better than you can. We can also play gootball a lot better than you can.

I know that there are some of you(maybe) that are capable of rational thought, but Im just not seeing it. If we are so classless, then why are you doing the exact same things, but twice as much? Think about what you are doing. Being a hypocrit is about the worst thing besides being an ohio state fan or french.

NOTE: we are in no way of Bruce G's talents. Omar is twice the QB Bruce is, and he performance proves this. Our threads are not about jealousy, if you could read you would know this. The thread you are refering to was abotu why everyone has this major jones for Bruce, when Omar has played a better schedule, and put up better numbers all year long.

Note#2: The MAC west title goes through BGSU.

EDIT: and PLEASE stop bitching about the field conditions of last year. Turns out grass gets soggy after a solid week of rain and 2 games played within a 7 day span. I know you are used to playing on carpet but get over it.

I wouldn't worry about UT, If the present enrollment trends continue much longer, they're going to become an adjunct to Owens Community College.
The OCC Criminal justice majors can practice running through the many crack houses that border the UT Campus.

really, I don't think they can talk football. It's all insults and jokes. While these two topics I guess are common place among rivals, it seems it is all that is discussed.

I think our discussions with Miami fans have gone great in the past couple years. I can respect their opinions and hold a decent conversation with them. This cant be said for Toledo.

oh well, rivals will always put the other team down in anyway possible I guess.

Also, it's one thing to be optomistic, but the toledo fans are pretty hopful of a win/blowout. I can't imagine the crow feast that will occur if BG wins..It will be highly embarassing for them.

I haven't read the UT boards for nearly 6 months, and I don't plan too any time soon. I don't have to make personal comments about UT, their fans take anything you say about the place as though you are slapping their mothers.

You can't be a BG fan and talk about UT. If you do, they assume whatever you say is an insult. If you talk about BG with any of them around, they assume you are insulting UT by mentioning BGSU in their presence. If you actually make a clear negative statement about UT, or state bluntly that we are in any way better, they lose their heads.

They have never understood that BG alumni, fans, and others, talk about BGSU without giving a da*n about UT. We don't exist to make them feel like third class people. If something about UT makes them think that, it is their problem not ours.

They need to spend more time on bake sales to keep their place open, and less on being worried about what we think or don't think about them.

this was the 2nd time ive read tha board(the first followign when TJ linked the threads about me) I was unaware of how they acted. I mean I assumed, and knew from personal contact with my old "friends" up there, but their boards are a sight to behold.

To hear them speak about BG you would think they are just a bunch of jet-setting metrosexuals. I always presumed only their engineering school was notable. Their fashion program must be very good as well.

I wonder if they paint their toe nails and help eachother with those pesky dress zippers at tailgates? Not that there is anything Sarong with that, of course.

I once wore my bright orange BG jacket to UT's campus. I had so many people looking at me funny, then one guy comes up to me and asks... "Are you here to bomb the place?" I looked at him and smiled, shaking my head as I walked by. All the while, I was thinking "If I only had the foresight to come up with that before...."

Don't waste your time with these clods....BG will do enough talking on the field next Tuesday. It's obvious they are insanely jealous of BG's rise back to power and they can't handle that. Get used to it boys and girls, we're back to stay.

I wear my hat, shirts, hoodies etc there all the time. I make it a point to wear my BGSU gear to class. Most proffs. dont care, and only a few ppl have ever said anything to me. And they were all my friends giving me crap in class b/c our TA(also my friend) like to make me do extra work for liking BG. All in good fun though.

There was one guy that said somethign like "why the hell is he wearing that..." or something to that effect. I dont really remember.

I'm from Toledo originally. Sadly most of those that actually graduate from TPS wind up going to UT. At least that was true until Owens CC changed its name.

Most of BGSU's students and alumni are not from Toledo, or even Lucas county. Cleveland, Columbus, and the far reaches of NW Ohio are where most BG types are from. BG alumni in the area, generally don't really know much about UT, nor do they care. BGSU students generally don't know and do not care much about UT, or Toledo. Most UT types don't seem to fully understand that.

Demographicly, most BGSU students and alumni come from at least a slightly higher rung on the ladder than the average resident of Toledo. This is becoming more and more true.

Local BGSU alumni and students have most typically lived "where the grass is greener." They don't buy into the silly, shallow, hype about how great living in Toledo is. They smile politely but groan silently when locals describe various institutions and such, as being as good or just like something in New York or Chicago, etc.

A very high number of UT students were or are non-traditional, and many of their fans are not even graduates. This means they are locals who tend to fit the profile of the average Toledo resident.

So many of the rest are graduates of Toledo Public Schools, that UT itself takes on the feel of attending a high school. It was one of the things I noticed first about the place during trips there as a high school sophomore. You don't know how FREAK'N UNCOOL it is, to have freshmen and sophomores being hailed by UT students as we walked through their student union.

I was up at Westgate, making a pass through Thackey's books, and stopped at Barry's Bagels for take-out before coming back to BG. I was wearing that class "Friends Don't Let Friends Go to Toledo. Strive for a Rocket Free Ohio." A little old lady walked up to me in the line. She tugged on my short sleeve and sad "Young man I don't think that is very funny" complete with a dead serious look. A half second of looking at her told me she wasn't joking. I smiled and told her politely, "It was intended as a joke" with a bit more emphasis on 'intended.'

We take bashing UT mostly as a joke. They see it being akin to insulting them personally.

I just read something that goes without much intelligence at their board. They are planning on bringing noise makers to the game to try to trip up our offense. Have they not realized the plays are sent in using hand signals and OJ could easily use his foot as the hike? With a spread system, there should be no need to audible off. If Jacobs read's something like a corner blitz, I would hope our receivers would see this and exploit it.

well noise makers like air horns aren't allowed in stadiums and they'll get confiscated at the gate, i've seen it happen countless times. Also, theres no way in all hell that the UT game will be louder for our offense than the Oklahoma game was in Norman. Sooner fans are very loud and supportive of their team and 80,000 of them versus 20,000 Toledo fans will NOT be nearly the same and we played just fine in the OU case with audibles so I'm not worried about the noise one bit. Besides, UT is 25 minutes away from BG, I would hope to god that a few thousand of our fans would make the trip geez.
