FLIP -

Yes Maumee is still very much Perrysburg's rival, though things have been less significant in the last several seasons. The last year that both school's were good simultaneously was the fall of '01. That season, Perrysburg, Anthony Wayne, and Maumee all went 9-1 with us beating AW, AW beating Maumee, and Maumee beating us. That was my 8th grade year. At the beginning of my time in high school, Maumee was still good....by the time I graduated, we were both pretty irrelevant, which brings me to....

BGFan-

I did have my facts straight, and I am aware of Perrysburg's success last fall. I was referring to the four years that I attended Perrysburg. Being the class of '06, it was the falls of '02, '03, '04, and '05. My eighth grade year they won nine games, my freshman year at BG they won the 7 games you referenced. As I said, football has me a little frustrated, please let this BG season change that!
Finally a senior!

BG has struggled the past few years but made good strides last year. They only lost a couple of key players to graduation so this looks to be a good season for them. Should be interesting.
As for that part, I don't pretend to have had the slightest clue about BGHS's program last year or in the future....just that from '02-'05, they, along with Springfield, represented most of the games that we could actually win.
Finally a senior!

They'll probably have a Browns preseason game there before the season begins. It would be a great honor for players like Charlie Frye & Steve Sanders to get the opportunity to play in a glorious stadium like the horseshoe. Something that those guys missed out on by going to MAC schools.

LOL the Browns suck almost as much as BG...now that would be a game...bg vs cleveland in the horse shoe. lol

Tongue planted firmly in cheek, and yes I realize that both of those guys played at the 'shoe.
