MAC to have 3 bowl teams

Even if we fall to 8-4 I have to believe we will be more attractive than say Akron, Miami and even Northern Illinois?

In this case, I think the MAC's bowl teams would be:

1. Toledo
2. The winner of Saturday's Miami-Akron game.
3. Northern Illinois

In other words, we would sit home if we don't beat Toledo.

This is how NIU would squeeze us out for the last spot:

1. NIU leads the league in attendance.
2. BGSU would no longer be nationally ranked and probably plunge behind NIU in the polls.
3. NIU beat BGSU on the field.
4. There might be some sentiment to give Joe Novak the bowl game he was robbed of last year.

Nothing is really for certain. Just because a 3rd bowl popped up doesn't mean we're going to be in that bowl. We have had a really disappointing attendance numbers this year when our average this year should've been in the low 20,000's. I've said before, if we go to bowl it will be because of us beating UT and our attendance at MCB last year. Beyond that , I don't know what to tell ya. :shrug:

The MAC East winner will not get a bowl game if they don't win the MACC. Especially if it is Akron.

I agree to that. Akron won't be selected ahead of us no matter what happens in the next 10 days.
