I would like to hear a recording of the show before making any further comments. Unlike Dakich's comments about refs in the past I like to get all the information possible before attacking someone else.

After Christopher is done with this place, we'll probably have the best facilities of any 1AA school in the country.*

Only 2 wins over BCS teams since then? NO WAY! Ohio beat Illinois & Kentucky, & Pitt. We beat NW. Akron beat NCST last year, Miami beat UL and Cinncy. NIU beat Bama & ISU. UT beat Kansas & Pitt.

Thats at least 11!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

I didn't catch the show today.

If Dan truly said that I take back nearly every nice thing I've ever said about him. Sounds like bitter ramblings from a failed HC to me.

The MAC has not been a great conference the past couple years; actually it's been awful. It has still been D1A however, and that is an important distinction to me. I'd have a hard time feeling the same passion for the program if they dropped to 1AA.

Dan knows next to nothing about football, anyways, so I don't see why anyone cares. If he was talking about the crappy MAC in hoops, well then I'd wanna know why he didn't win more if it was so bad.

I'm quite happy with our current hoops coach, thanks very much.

Dan made no secret of his hard feelings towards the league office about the emphasis the prior Comissioner put on football...I don't think it's a real big leap to assume the he felt the University was putting too much emphasis on football as well....of course he might have gotten more resources had he managed to build an NCAA tournament team or a stable roster of kids....

If we drop anything it ought to be hockey...sure we were good back in the day....when Reagan and Mondale were running for President. The Gipper ain't coming back and given the current coaching situation at the ice arena, I don't think the hockey team is coming back either.

I really hope Dakich didn't say that, especially on the air. I didn't hear it so maybe someone can verify what exactly he did say if they heard it. If he did say it and he was truthful in his comments that it was stated to him a move to I-AA was “supposed” to happen, I would be EXTREMELY troubled by such conversations. To say I love BG football would be an understatement. But if we were to ever drop to I-AA, or to the FCS as it is now called, I would be looking in search of a new school and team to back in football. For all the road trips, tickets, hotels, flights, donations, gas and additional costs I have happily spent to watch BG play D-I football over the past 15 years, I would not be able to commit that same support for a program moving backwards and not pushing forward any longer at the highest level like so many schools strive to be. The mere thought of dropping to I-AA to me is simply ridiculous.

IF DD said this or even feels this is total BS. IF this clown of a radio show host said this he is as much of an idiot....

2002 Final Top 25 Poll
#27/#24 Marshall
With Toledo getting votes in the USA Today Poll

2003 Final Top 25 Poll
#10 Miami (OH)
#23 BGSU

2004 Final Top 25 Poll
#27 BGSU (getting 74 votes)

2005 Final Top 25 Poll
#26/#30 Toledo (getting 35/18 votes)

During the last 5 years, last year was the first year a MAC team did not end the season either being in the top 25 or getting votes and just missing the Top 25. Which we all know is fairly political.

Someone explain to me how a league that puts teams in the top 25/30 year in year out should be DIV 1AA. Or how BG should be DIV 1AA after being #23 and #27 in the country several years ago.

Which bring in the real issue, radio/TV talking heads have to and will continue to say things for polemically purposes only. Its how they get listeners/viewers and that is why I don't listen to talk radio or "news" programs.

To put it bluntly, Norm Wamer is a freakin' idiot. He is a yes-man to any guest he has on his show. And I think he has a man-crush on Dakich (similar to Bob Davie for Cole Magner  )

I've heard hammb call in and talk to Norm. It is almost comical because Brian can talk sports knowledge circles around Norm. I'm surprised they even take his calls anymore because the callers aren't supposed to be smarter then the host.

I've said it before, hammb and I could put together a show with more sports knowledge/information then 'The Ticket' could ever dream of doing. I think the have the traffic guy as a co-host now. It's ridiculous.

Wow...I really hope Dan did not say all those things but something inside tells me he did. He seems very bitter these days, which is a shame. His alleged comments do nothing positive for himself, BGSU or the MAC.

Like hammb, I am totally stoked about Coach Orr. I can't wait to see his team get going.

As far as BG dropping to 1-AA? I don't think we had that in mind building the Sebo Center, dropping close to a Mil on NextTurf and all the upgrades Perry Stadium has been getting. Dan needs to remember we were drawing flies at AA for the last few years and he couldn't keep guys in the program...and yet I rooted for him all the time to get it turned around.

Dan's better off in Indiana and BG is better off with Coach Orr...who will break down the BiG dance Door!!!

As far as Wamer? The guy sounds like a total buffoon but since I've never actually listened to his show, I can't say for sure.
