Freshman move-in was pretty uneventful, from what I remember.. unfortunately, sophomore year I moved in, was all set, headed back to the parent's house for a bit, and when I came back, the new roomie had apparently thrown a party, trashing the place, including writing on some of my stuff. It took weeks to convince them that he needed to go, and fortunately, he had a friend with room in another dorm, and I ended up with no roommate for a semester, until some guy started moving in unannounced coming back from Christmas break. Fortunately, he turned out all right.
And I'd like to second the notion that by focusing on parental fights and not the next batch of scantily clad whooooores, Drew is gay.
EDIT: I'm a liar. While freshman move-in was uneventful, heading out that night with my roomie to hit the bars with "some girls he met", which turned out to be 10 chicks and the two of us never reaching the bars because the dumb skanks couldn't keep below a dull roar while pre-gaming in their room (then blaming us up and down the line to the RA and through the probation process), I ended up on probation for a year three days before I ever set foot in a college classroom.

I lived in Kohl my two years in the dorms. The first year I moved in early because I was in the Chapman Learning Community and BGeX was required of us before it was for the entire freshman class. I ended up moving in very late and in the rain because my brother left for Japan that day and we had to drive up to Detroit Metro to see him off. Unfortunately that meant I missed the part when the sororities were helping people move in. Then I met my roommate who was taller than me (at 6'4", that's something that doesn't happen often.)
Kohl's females-to-males ratio was 2:1 (half each on floors 1 & 2, the whole 3rd floor was female.) That first weekend before anyone else was on campus is still one of my favorite times here.
My second year I moved in even earlier, a couple days before the freshmen, and lived down the hall from 90% of the people I had lived with freshman year. That was pretty sweet. Since we moved in early we had no trouble getting our stuff in. As second year kids in the program, it was our job to help the new kids move in. That was a mixed blessing. It was nice to get an early look at all of the new girls and help them move their futons to the third floor ("my hero..."), but it also sucked having to move a futon up the stairs to the third floor.

I have a story about move-in, which involved my job (RCC). My only hope is that my old boss isn't reading this...TG1996 wrote:And I'd like to second the notion that by focusing on parental fights and not the next batch of scantily clad whooooores, Drew is gay.
Sophomore year I lived in Offenhauer and was my first year working at RCC. Move-in is always the busiest time for us, so pretty much everyone was working. That particular day, I was working in Mac and just roaming room to room. I went in to this girl's room and she said she couldn't get connected. 5 clicks of the mouse later, she was connected. She asked if I wanted to stay and watch some TV, so I did because I was bored s*itless. After about 15 minutes I decide that my bosses seeing me sitting in someone's room = grounds for firing. I left her my phone number and told her to call me if she needed any more help with her computer.
Needless to say, she called me about 2-3 hours later and said she was bringing her computer to my room.
In hopes of not sounding like "Penthouse Forums" I'll let you fill in what happened next, but from then on I never said I hated my job.

Do you really want to see pictures of this guy with a desperate freshmen?

That picture was taken 10 seconds after puking off that balcony. I proceeded to do a beer bong and play 12 games of beer pong.
God I love college.
Oh, and F*ck You Tony!

I got to move in a week early, too, because of band. It was the last year before the BS Fall Break was added, and classes started on Wednesday. So, I was in the Wednesday before. My roommate was a sophomore, and he was already moved in. Along with the help of about six KKY and TBS members, we got moved in quickly, and, the BG News took a photo of it. I was on the front page of the school paper my very first day of classes.

My buddy and I did order a pizza this weekend. It is very possible it was me.
Especially since I'm the only Drew Evans in Bowling Green...unless my clone has found me....

Unless it was multiple pizzas, it probably wasn't Drew after all.The Niz wrote:Off topic of move-in, but didn't I just deliver a pizza to Drew this weekend?

Hey, it takes a lot of food to keep this love machine fueled! When you mix some good trans fats with a nice lager, you got a finely tuned machine.TG1996 wrote:Unless it was multiple pizzas, it probably wasn't Drew after all.
Not an overly used one, but a machine none the less...
