That Notre Dame/Indiana/Delaware stretch is brutal. I like that the freshman will have some time to adapt before that chunk of the schedule.

This is a nice looking OOC slate. Not horrendously soft, but enough quality teams to not be embarassing. Nice mix.

Love having Notre Dame here. That will be a packed house.

'07-'08 Sched.....

Post by Falconboy »

A very nice schedule for our young falcons indeed. Plenty of quality teams to test our team without being too brutal. I really like that opening game with Valpo. This may be the first time that I can remember in recent years that we didn't start our season out with a Findlay or some other D1-AA type team, and hopefully by playing Valpo that'll bring out the more casual fan.

All in all.....

Are you sure your not thinking of the men's team. I don't remember the women's team playing non-DI teams in the regular season, only exhibition games

I wonder if Joni and the AARP all-stars are coming into AA this year.

Yeah, now that I think about your right. I forgot the women have traditionally played exhibition games and that Findlay game was a exhibition game. Well, its nice to see the men's team have amazingly weaned themselves off D1-AA competition this year.

You do realize we are talking about BASKETBALL and not football. There is no D-IAA in basketball (and technically no longer such a division in football as well).

This is a tremendous schedule for this young team. There are a couple true "sleeper" teams on here who will be very good- Belmont on the road, Florida Gulf Coast, improving Indiana on the road- and a couple true tough ones- Notre Dame in a madhouse atmosphere at home, at Delaware, at crazy gym Iowa State.

I love this nonleague slate- challenging and also an opportunity for our new players to fit in.

And first two league games are at home. I would expect Akron to be primed as Nikki McCoy watches from the end of the bench. Everyone will be gunning for us as we make the move from one era to another behind Achter and Taylor.

Go Falcons!

Great schedules should occur every year regardless of the team's experience. I think what you see here is the schedule of program that expects to challenge the best they can play each and every year. Do not expect Miller to back off this year with less experience on his roster, expect this program to continue building.
I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
