Just like the dumb little kids at ball state. At the 02-03 playoff game there, they sat behind us as kept sayign crud like "Bolwing Green state? Bolwing Green isnt a state!" I'm not going to make any jokes about Willie. He's a pretty nice guy to talk to, and he's coaching for a sleeping giant in Wayne State. A school of 31,000 in Detroit... if they start to win and get games against MSU and UM at the Joe - look out!

Two Western Michigan players, Mark Wilkinson and Steven Rymsha, were arrested at a house party early last Sunday morning, and have been placed on indefinite suspension by the university. Further, head coach Bill Wilkinson, Mark Wilkinson's father, has been temporarily suspended while the matter is under investigation.
According to the Kalamazoo Gazette, the two were arrested at a party held at a house owned by Bill Wilkinson and rented to Mark Wilkinson, Rymsha and two other players. According to the players, the party was attended solely by hockey players. There were also reports of hazing, which is prohibited at WMU.
Coach Wilkinson was temporarily suspended with pay by the university to avoid possible conflicts of interest. In his absence, assistant coach Jim Culhane is acting as the team's head coach.
WMU Athletic Director Kathy Beauregard has initiated an internal investigation, which she expects to focus on the reports of hazing, as well as possible NCAA issues concerning the players' living arrangements. A golf outing for the team earlier on Saturday was also being examined.
