App ST. blocks UM FG Wins 34-32!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Falconboy »

Even though I"m a small Michigan fan , I love seeing this. :D Makes me wonder what BG can do vs Minny. Appalachian St has some quick and fast players, namely the qb and the wr's and rb. The App ST. D has been unbelievable, dont' know how they've been able to keep the Hart running machine at bay so far.

*Update* Its now the 3rd. qtr. and App St. just missed a huge golden opp to go up 35-17 but the wr dropped the easy pass in endzone. App St isn't seeming to tire out at all. This is getting more and more interesting by the minute.

*Update* UM now seems to be in control now late in the 4th and leads by 1 now. Even if App St loses, they've done amazing in this game. I'm not sure what this says for UM.

*Update* App just scored a FG and now leads , HOLY CRAP!!!

App St.-UM Halftime....

Post by Falconboy »

As I've been watching this game , I've seen an incredibly well coached football team. These guys are obviously not D.1-AA 2-time National Champs for nothing. The App St spread O has seemingly confounded UM so far. I've never been impressed with the speed of Michigan's D , but what I've been watching has really taken the cake.

Seeing things like this makes me ever hopefully about BG's chances vs Minny. If GB has gotten better at coaching fundamentals we should see a much improved team that should more than just hang with Minny tonight.

Just wish OSU could be finding a similar fate.

I've always said that these teams have no business playing 1AA teams, they deserve the worst for it. AFAIC if you play a 1AA team you should not be eligible for BCS bowls.

The Citadel here in Charleston has scheduled Appy State for their Homecoming game on Nov. 3rd- might have to check 'em out!

SoCon baby Furman Hoops and Appy State Griders!!!

I give Ohio State a bit of a pass against YSU because of the Tressel connection, but other 1AAs I don't give the Bucks a pass on.

how bout them southern boys huh...... nah im not gonna brag, but i figured they would give them trouble and stay close into the 3rd quarter just because they have a great offense but i never could have imagined this. I LOVE IT

Lovin App State, but I've got a feeling UM will find a way to pull it out....which would suck.

Well, Michigan is perennially overrated in the opening poll. I'd definitely drop them out of the top 10.

This is why polls shouldn't come out until sometime in October.
