FIRE THE COACH
FIRE THE COACH
Might as well get this started now. It won't be long until you all agree.
YEAH! Right after the Michigan game.
I don't blame the Coach. I blame Brian Dunkleman.

Game after game, year after year, we waltz into halftime with a big lead only to squander it quickly in the second half. The fans are bewildered and the players must be crushed. What the hell does GB and his staff do at halftime? Obviously, absolutely no adjustments or motivation takes place. I think GB and his staff play xbox. Yes, it is time to fire him because there is no fire in him. It is so painful to watch when we all know the talent is there but the coaching is not.
bobio, I honestly cannot defend Brandon in this regard. I completely agree that he has to be the worst halftime coach I have ever seen. Can anyone tell me one game where we actually came out in the third quarter and play better than in the first half?

Actually, watching this game and thinking back to others, it became pretty clear to me that it isn't a motivational problem in the second half, it is a play-calling problem. We get so conservative in the second half when we have a lead, on both sides of the ball. On defense, we almost never blitz, and 80% of the time we are in cover 2, no matter what the situation is. On offense we shut down the passing game and stick to the run, even if it isn't working.CapitalFalcon wrote:You are such a retard...If they would have lost, you'd of been on here with a big fat I told you so...Go play in some traffic...bobio wrote:that two point conversion is the first smart thing GB has ever done.
I have to give the staff credit tonight, though, for opening things up when we needed to. The play calling in OT was nothing short of brilliant, and I'm not referring to the 2-pt conversion. Kudos and thanks to this staff and these players for making us all very, very proud tonight!
