No, you wont catch any heat from me friend. The ST's were much improved. They're weren't perfect but are now plenty good enough for us to win the Mac. I wonder if Sinsia would've hit that long fg if CP were holding. But all in all the kickoff coverages were way better and our returns were look good too. I got real excited on that CP return as I though he might take it all the way.

The ST's were a lot better. Although I'm thinking on at least 3 occasions we didnt return the kickoff to the 20yard line. We need some work on that. Also our punter just kick the cover off the ball last night. Which I LOVE, but dang sometimes it doesn't net you as much as a pooch kick!

Sinisa Vrvilo is one of my new favorite players! What a clutch kick!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!

Actually, CP was holding for the FG. Although he sprained his ankle and couldnt walk well, he still went in to hold every time. Sinisa was extremely mad after missing that too. It is indeed a rare occurence that he misses a FG that badly.

Amen, brother. The punt formation is great, the kicking game was solid depite the missed FG and it seemed like the coverage teams were much better. Coach Bird gets a game ball from me.

Think about this as well...we have a freshman long snapper, #57 Neal Dahlman. The snaps I was able to see were very solid.

Nick Iovinelli punted 6 times with an average of 38.7 and a long of 48. That's pretty good for his first action as a Falcon. Sinsia Vrvillo did miss badly on the 42 yard attempt but nailed the one that counted most.

CONGRATS SPECIAL TEAMS AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Thanks to the incredibly below average camera work by the Big 11 Network, I couldn't see very well what happened on that kick. Listening to the game on the radio at the end of the game, Todd said that the kick was deflected at the line and pushed to the right.

What I thought was cool (and this is sad), all of our extra points looked like we meant it, if you know what I mean. I got so used to holding my breath on every XP kick over the past couple of years, I litterally think I almost forgot what a strong, high kick in the middle of the uprights looked like. Like I said, it's sad.

The ST were vastly improved, but as mentioned earlier, we need to do a better job of blocking on kick returns. I was certain after that awful return to the 13 on the drive that tied the game that the game was over. I believe that was Geter on the returns, and while I know he's still young, guys cannot stop running once the opposing team breaks through. Hopefully this will be addressed this week in practice, but other than that, I had almost forgot what good punts and no-doubter FG's looked like.
