Bowling Green is now 5-12 all-time against the Big Ten.
That's a .294 average -- which doesn't sound too impressive.
But last night's win did vault the Falcons back over Miami and Toledo as the MAC program with the best record against current members of the Big Ten.
Bowling Green 5-12 (.294)
Miami 13-38-2 (.264)
Toledo 4-12 (.250)
Buffalo 1-4 (.200)
Ohio 6-35-1 (.155)
Western Michigan 4-25 (.138)
Temple 5-43-4 (.135)
Central Michigan 2-16 (.111)
Akron 1-15 (.062)
Northern Illinois 1-30-1 (.047)
Kent State 0-8 (.000)
Ball State 0-17 (.000)
Eastern Michigan 0-21 (.000)
Also, with a win over Sparty, the Falcons would have a better all-time record against the Big Ten than... Indiana.
Michigan 458-164-18 (.730)
Ohio 434-174-27 (.705)
Penn State 83-54-1 (.605)
Michigan State 229-226-13 (.503)
Minnesota 316-333-28 (.487)
Purdue 303-331-31 (.479)
Wisconsin 308-346-41 (.473)
Illinois 317-361-31 (.469)
Iowa 274-338-26 (.450)
Northwestern 235-441-21 (.352)
Indiana 190-433-24 (.312)

FWIW, the combined final record of the previous 16 teams from the B10 we played from the season we played them is 130-64-2.Falconfreak90 wrote:5-12 all time isn't bad at all...all things considered. Playing OSU and Wisky 4 times combined in the last few years doesn't help as BG was playing the best in the Big 10.
Good stuff, SF.

But that all changes next year when Minnesota enters the Doyt...looking for some big time revenge.BGSU33 wrote:Also something to keep in mind, BG has never played a Big Ten team at home. They have always either been road games or at neutral sites (bowl game, Cleveland, etc).

Minnesota's got a new field to pay for. They're not going to cancel any OOC's unless they get more money for one.
