I didn't get a good look at the punt we recovered after hitting the Gopher. Looked like we recovered but I only saw one of the replays. Anyone have a view on that?
It also looked like the announcers were questioning one of the many OL holds called. It forced a punt. Not easy to tell watching in a bar though.
A win is a win, but both plays could have ended the Gopher momentum.
Big Ten Refs...
The punt in question touched one of our players before caroming off of the Minnesota player. Since we touched it first it does not qualify as a "muffed" punt. We could not recover there.Cork wrote:I didn't get a good look at the punt we recovered after hitting the Gopher. Looked like we recovered but I only saw one of the replays. Maybe the aspire to be Big 10 officials? haha. I did notice before the game Brewster was shaking their hands and he even put his arm around one of them!
4th & 13 on PU 32yd line.. 56,000 fans up on their feet screaming, i held my breath the entire play trying to make as little noise as possible.. wouldnt u know Sharon would make the biggest touchdown catch in the history of BG Football, FALCON UP!
I happened to have gone to high school with the referee and he has done MANY Bowling Green games over the years and also many Big Ten and "bowl" games, and happens to live in Findlay, Ohio!! I do know that they watched video right after the game and evaluated many of the calls that you are talking about.
