As an added complication...I have two ILO Dvd recorders...neither works. I had to run the dvr into my laptop via the TV card (hey...maybe it has a firewire connection and I can bypass MediaCenter..) and save the vid using Windows Media Center. 3.5 hours on high quality is an 11GB file...luckily I have a ipod converter that shrank it down to about 3 gigs...now I just have to splice in the OT and that elusive 14 seconds and I'll have an MP4 that should fit on a dvd and should play on most commercially available dvd players. I could just upload the damn thing to an ftp site and let peopke download it too...it's basically going to be a big ass QT file
So...If you wnt the whole game...talk to me Friday.
I probably should record the MSU game on the laptop via Media Center...but I just don't trust it. The "good" ILO is going to the shop...I guess Best Buy today for repairs. They both are doing the same thing (door won't open) so I'm going to crack open the other myself to see if I can figure it out on my own.
Someday...I'm going to build a big media center box that will act as a server and a couple of smaller rigs that I can place in the bedroom and den and maybe the garage with my weights. Slap a terabite drive in the main boax and I can run a wireless netork that will allow me to eventually dump evry bit of content I own into the network. Home videos..commercial dvd's..scanned photos...recorded TV shows..all of it availabel in just about any room with monitor...how cool will that be.
Probably going to need a new roof and maybe furnace before I do that though
