I was just wondering if this will be shown on the Big ten network as i see there are several big ten games going on at noon.

Tough to tell on cable, but on DirecTV their "alternative" channels seem to be available (making all the games scheduled at the same time available). I'd imagine this has or will have restrictions down the road.

Buckeye will be showing the BG game on BCSN. If you go to www.buckeyecablesystem.com they have a schedule outlined with all the games for the month.

DirecTV's website says it will be on channel 218. (OSU/Akron on 220)

Any word here in Cols? Unfortunately the F*ckeyes play at noon as well. So I rate the chances at around zero.

I know it wasn't during a toa&mu game, but for the Minn game, we found the people at Gordon Biersch in the Arena District to be very helpful and had a good time watching the game there. One of the bartenders actually told us she had gone to BG for a few years before transferring to that criminal institution in downtown c-bus.

I'm sure it will at least be available on an overflow channel. Probably won't get the bigscreen, but a corner TV is better than none.

Pardon my ignorance, but is an "overflow" channel available on a pay per view basis, or is there a package that can be bought to see the rest of the channels?

Pardon my ignorance, but is an "overflow" channel available on a pay per view basis, or is there a package that can be bought to see the rest of the channels?

I don't have DirecTV at home, so someone may need to correct me, but my understanding is that the Big Ten Network is part of the their "Choice" package, which is the 2nd-lowest package they have (so basically almost everyone who has DirecTV automatically gets the Big Ten Network). They use the overflow channels whenever there is more than one game taking place. Those overflow channels are provided automatically (not extra PPV), but there may not be enough overflow channels for every single game taking place at a given time (there are 5 games on the Big Ten Network taking place at noon eastern). The only Big Ten Network games listed on DirecTV's website that I remember seeing is Ohio State/Akron on 220 and BG/MSU on 218. Bottom line is that if you find someplace that has DirecTV, you can get the BG game no matter what.

If I asked the guy at teh bar for channel 220 last week, any idea what channel I ask for this week? Its usually better to give them a specific channel so they don't have to scroll through a bunch of channels in the middle of a busy bar.
