I'll look for orange in that lot. Looks like it is on the corner of Farm & N. Shaw Lane.

Yes, alcohol is cool there. If you are coming from G. Rapids, just take I-96 E to I-496 (exit 95 I think) then just use the same directions I gave above for Munn Field...the only difference is you will pass Munn Field and Spartan Stadium and about a mile down you will need to pass Farm Lane and turn left into an entrance just past Farm Ln which will cut you across and into the lot. It is not a huge lot so don't be suprised if it fills up quick.froggyvk wrote:MichState04,BGDrew wrote:I'm planning on parking directly East of Lot N on the map.
Can you give directions how to get to the Public lot just to the East of Lot N, then? We would be coming from the West on I-96, as would most BG fans I'm assuming. I'm from Grand Rapids, MI, so I know the interstates, but not the specific exits/roads. Should we get on 496?
Drinking is allowed in this lot, correct?
Well, I'm from Grand Rapids, but I'm a student at BGSU, so I'll be coming from Ohio. Sorry about the confusion. The directions should be the same though... I'll make sure I'll take that exit onto I-496.MichState04 wrote:Yes, alcohol is cool there. If you are coming from G. Nope, it's different. If you are coming from BGSU, you will take US 23 to 96 West I believe? Either way I assume you will be coming into East Lansing on I-96 West...you will get off at Exit 110 off of I-96 (Okemos Rd). You will turn right off the exit. You will come to a traffic light (Jolly Rd.) and you turn left. Take that to Hagadorn Rd and turn right. You will take that up a ways and the campus will come up on the left side and you will turn left onto Shaw Ln. The public lot next to lot N will be on your right hand side (just before Farm Ln.).froggyvk wrote:Well, I'm from Grand Rapids, but I'm a student at BGSU, so I'll be coming from Ohio. Thanks! This helps a bunch. I'm going with a group of nearly 20 BG students, so we're obviously taking multiple cars. I'll be sure to rely these directions to them... Thanks again!MichState04 wrote:Nope, it's different. If you are coming from BGSU, you will take US 23 to 96 West I believe? Coming from BGSU or anywhere from the east, this is the best way to go. Anyone coming from Lansing or west would go the other way I showed above.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad deal. Especially with my bum knee, it would be nice to not have to trek across campus to the stadium. Thanks for the heads up!Msu 2007 wrote:On that map they do not show the commuter lot that has buses running right to the gate at Farm lane and Mt Hope. This is actually one of the best kept secrets that I have found, Alcohol is allowed and plenty of room to tailgate. For the Notre Dame game last year there were alot of Golden domers down this way. JUST ANOTHER OPTION!!!!

I think I may shoot for that commuter lot. I recall where it is from my trip up there in March, and it is pretty easy to get to. Basically, where you would turn left to get to the Breslin Ctr., just turn right and go to Mt. Hope Rd. Take a left and you're there. It seems to be out of the way, too (but still accessible by bus), so it might be easier for us find each other there.Metz wrote:So only Drew has said what lots he's going to head for. Commuter lot is easier to navigate around because it is off the beaten path of campus. Not nearly as much pre-game activities out there, but the bus system is easy to use. Just keep in mind the commuter lot is huge, so finding someone you know will be more challenging than you think.Bleeding Orange wrote:I think I may shoot for that commuter lot. Dang....that sounds like a plan there! I think we'll check Lot N first but I don't think we'll be getting there early enough. I HOPE we can leave our hotel room by 8!! Freaklings and Mrs Freak better get to sleep early Friday night. The Red Roof Inn we're staying is only about 5 miles from the MSU campus.Msu 2007 wrote:On that map they do not show the commuter lot that has buses running right to the gate at Farm lane and Mt Hope. Do you think you might be able to keep your phone on this year?Falconfreak90 wrote:Dang....that sounds like a plan there! At this point, I think the commuter lot may be the best option for BG fans...I like the idea of plenty of room and alcohol allowed. It helps that the Freaklings can drink first thing in the AM cuz they're a bear by halftime if they can't.We'll more than likely head to the commuter lot now. Look for the orange "BGSU" flag trimmed in brown and the football player airsock.
C everyone soon and thanks to the MSU Fans for all your help! You've been great.
GO FALCONS!!! BEAT SPARTY!!
