Did we come away injury-free?

Post by BGSU33 »

I asked this question last week too, but does anyone know if we had any injuries of concern after the MSU game? Hopefully we didn't suffer anything more than the typical bumps and bruises again. With a bye week on deck and two weeks to gear up for the MAC opener, we’ll finally get a home game and we can start MAC play. Hopefully we can pick up where we left off and start getting it done in conference play.

Ransom would be the one of big concern. I don't remember if he came back after hobbling off after the "non-fumble". Kory Lichtensteiger got hurt, too, but was back in a few plays later.

I'm not sure, but I think Kory just got poked in the eye. He came back a few plays later with a visor/shield on. Doesn't seem to be serious. Ransom on the other hand...???

ER had a sprained knee. His return was "doubtful" and obviously he didnt come back. I think Kory was OK, but yes he got shooken up as well.

I hope these two are okay, they are obviously both key players for us.

Crap. Not good. Hopefully Bullock will reappear next time out.

That sucks to lose Ransom.

Hopefully we'll actually play Bullock more. We're going to miss using Ransom in the slot, but Geter really looked to have a good burst in that role today.

Ransom was literally carried to the locker room by two guys at the half. He came back out in the third quarter on crutches, though. He didn't seem to have any wrap on his knee, and he certainly didn't go to the hospital as he came out with the team after the half. Hopefully it isn't too serious of an injury.

IF it is indeed a torn ACL, he's gone for the next 9 months, minimum. That sucks! Hopefully, that's not the case!

I hope Corey is back for next week!

I hope someone tells Corey we don't have a game next week!

But yeah, I agree with ya. We need #1 back on the field. Add him with what we saw from Freddie and Derek Brighton, along with a nice TD grab by Tyrone Pronty... Mmmmm....wide receiver depth.

How do medical redshirts work?

Can Ransom get one because he played in just a game and a half?

This is how I think they work, After his senior year, he needs to petition for another year of eligibility. Because he still has his redshirt I would assume they would be a bit more lenient with those two games this year.

This is a big loss but atleast we have a similar player in Geter to fill the role.

Oh man do I hope this isn't the case!!! This would be a very bad loss for us. This is not the kind of news I was expecting to hear.
