Please DON"T use the "NOON Start" time as an excuse for students not coming to the game! I'm coming in from Cleve. area...and, in fact, since I want to see which doorknobs I own in the SEBO, am staying overnite in Perrysburg. But seriously, I'm tired of that old excuse that noon is too "early" for our poor BG students... MOST college games start earlier, rather than later...so our students will just have to suck it up and sacrifice a few minutes of their time and support their alma mater..... ( I know, I'm an old guy who is too naive in the "ways" of today's college kids...only was a HS counselor and/or coach for about 38 yrs.)Strouse wrote:The only way you could do that is to get the majority of campus to show up to the game. It pains me to say that, but it's true. I would love to see a packed Doyt for a change for the home opener and to see a sea of orange, but unless we get a good majority of the students to show up to a game that kicks off at noon is unfortunately asking a lot out of the students on this campus. Oh, before I get reamed, I will be at the game no matter what.BGSUFootballFan wrote:I'd love to see us declare it an "Orange Onslaught". It was so amazing to watch Penn State tonight and to see that 109,000 of the 110,000 had a white shirt on. You'd think we could organize 15-20k to do the same for our school!
Education our Challenge, Excellence our goal. (look it up)

Next I suppose you'll tell me to let him go because he's on a roll....

The student attendance will hinge on what time the OSU game against Northwestern starts, as of now the time is TBA but methinks it'll be designated a noon start time. I've been trying to get my friends to watch this team the past 2 weeks and hopefully some of the students will muster up enough to care and come watch them play.
On a good note, I think if Washington beats OSU this coming weekend, some of the OSU fans will come out to the game. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
